GROWTH STORY MOTEL ONE s success story started with the opening of the first property in Offenbach, near Frankfurt. Since then, MOTEL ONE has steadily developed and refined its concept and its popularity has grown apace: in 2005 the group already comprised a total of more than 1,000 rooms. Small wonder that the fast, continuous growth also attracted investors. In 2007, Morgan Stanley acquired 35 % of the business in its Real Estate Special Situation Fund III. 2011 has become an important year for the group: the biggest MOTEL ONE yet, with more than 500 rooms MOTEL ONE BERLIN-HAUPTBAHNHOF opened to guests in the German capital. As well, the first MOTEL ONE outside Germany was inaugurated in Salzburg, Austria.
