TRIDENT COLOR MIXING GUIDE This guide is intended to help you mix the main and most popular colors on the artists pallet. Please note that there are notes and tips on some of the more extreme formulations to make it practical and easier for you. Warm Red 29 drops TRU 21 drops TRU Red 58% 42% Red Warm 0.25% Red 99.75% To mix colors like this or even lighter, it is suggested to mix a decent quantity of Benzimida Orange (Light Orange), then use a tiny drop or more of that in yellow to get your lightest oranges. To make Transparent / Candy / Glaze TRIDENT colors can be added to the Transparent Base to make Transparent colors. Transparent color show up over light surfaces and colors but are invisible over dark backgrounds Transparent Colors Add 30% of TRIDENT color to 70% of TRIDENT Transparent Base (Neutral) Reduce as required Most colors will give the highest transparency, however certain colors such as TRU White and TRU Flesh which have high concentrations of opaque pigment will only become translucent, not transparent such as yellow, red, blue, violet, green orange and so on. Benzimida Orange (Light Orange) 49 Drops TRU 1 Drop TRU Red 98% 2% Red To mix colors like this or even lighter, it is suggested to mix a decent quantity of Cadmium Orange for your color library then use a drop or more of that in yellow to get your lightest oranges. Cadmium Orange (Mid- Orange) 19 drops TRU 1 drop TRU Red 95% 5% Red Pyrrole Orange (Moly/Burnt Orange) 18 drops TRU 2 drops TRU Red 90% 10 % Red Naphthol Scarlet (Deep Orange- Red) 15 drops TRU 5 drops TRU Red 80% 20% Red Greens Color Drops Percentage Practical Mixing Cadmium Lemon (light Lime) 999 drops Phthalo Green 99.9%.01% Blue To mix colors like this or even lighter, it is suggested to mix a decent quantity of Phthalo Green or Permanent Green Light for your color library then use a tiny drop or more of that in TRU yellow to get your lightest greens.
