Features on the 25L Specialist backpack The backpack can be tailored by the user for radio or medical gear. The bag has a ventilated back with a plastic plate and an aluminium stay in the back to make it firm, but adaptable. Shoulder pads are made from plastic foam for comfort and even balance of the weight. They have a chest strap and attachment for handset/microphone. The shoulder pads can be stored behind the back plate and you can then use the backpack as a shoulder bag and one side compression strap can then be used as a shoulder strap. A ballistic plate or hydration bladder can be carried in the compartment in the back. The bag is made from hard wearing coated polyamide fabric and heavy duty zippers. Long heavy duty zipper with long pull strings. The zippers are long to allow the backpack to open all the way. Press-button in the main compartment stops the zipper from opening to much. Four long side compression straps are sewn to the backpack. The bag has two carrying handles, one on the side and one in the top. Main compartment has two inside pockets with zippers that are good for first-aid equipment, field work equipment or other technical equipment. The outer pockets are zipped and they each have a zipped elastic mesh pocket inside. Modular webbing to mount pouch/pockets are placed on the outside of the outside pockets (and on the sides of the -14 version). An optional medical wall can be mounted with straps in the middle of the backpack. The wall remains vertical when the backpack is open. A man pack radio can be secured with two straps close to your back for best weight distribution and balance (straps not included) Two holes for cables or a tube for the hydration system are placed in the top of the backpack. Access holes for radio or computer cables are placed on each side on the bottom of the backpack The cable for the radio microphone is put through the access hole in the lower part of the backpack and then the microphone is attaches to the shoulder pad The backpack can be attached on the back/top of our new modular equipment vest -10 SNIGELDESIGN 3

Versions of the 25L specialist backpack The 23-00027-17-000, Olive specialist backpack small -11 has semi covered zippers and attachment bands for the combat vest. It also has three elastic inside compartments in the lower outside pockets. The BPSS-10B,, Black specialist backpack small -10 has semi covered zippers and attachment bands for the combat vest. The 29-00027-09-00, Grey 25L specialist backpack -14 has exposed and stiffened zippers and forward pulling attachment bands for the combat vest. It also has three elastic inside compartments in the lower outside pockets and MOLLE bands on the sides. A waist belt is attached to the backpack. SNIGELDESIGN 4

The 29-00026-09-0 00, Grey 40L specialist backpack -12 has semi covered zippers and attachment bands for the combat vest. It also has three elastic inside compartments in the lower outside pockets. A waist belt is attached to the backpack. The 29-00027-01-00, Black 40L specialist backpack -14 has exposed and stiffened zippers and forward pulling attachment bands for the combat vest. Features on the 25 & 40L specialist backpacks The outer pockets have elastic compartments and zipped compartments. The zippers are long to make it easy to reach what ever you inside the pockets. The bottom has a few bands so you can attach extra gear. It is also insulated with 5 mm foam to keep the batteries in the man-pack radio running longer when it is cold. There is a press button in the lower sides of the backpacks. It prevents the backpack from opening up to much by accident when you open it. On the inside of the backpacks there is one zipped compartment with outside elastic holders and one zipped mesh pocket, The others side (back) has a hole band sewn along the edge. The carry cushions can be placed inside the backpack. This is good when you travel by air. Both backpacks meets the requirements of cabin luggage. Details of the attachment to a vest. This makes the carrying of a vest and a backpack much more comfortable and it is easier to don and doff. Attached on a combat vest. A 25L specialist backpack attached to the back of a 120L backpack. The side bands used as a shoulder strap and the carry cushion and carry bands placed under the mesh panel in the back of the backpack. A hydration system can be carried on the back of the backpack. Most man-pack radios fit inside the small/25l specialist backpack. The microphone attached on the left carry cushion. Under the elastic band and the hook on the back of the microphone into the webbing. Attached on a combat vest outside a ballistic vest. Features on the 25 & 40L specialist backpacks The small/25l backpack is perfect for a section or platoon medic in a unit that must be self sustained for some time.. In the lower outside pocket you can carry the medical gear for the immediate respons to bleeding. In the top outside pocket you can carry the medical gear needed for airways and breathing. On the bottom a combat litter can be attached. Inside the specialist backpack a medical wall can be attached to make it easier to keep order on what you carry in it. On two Velcro panels, insert pouches which are colour coded can be attached. They make it much easier to keep order and to give out medical gear to others, that helps the medic. The Velcro panels can be attached in one side only and then the backpack can be used as a book and make it even more flexible. On the outside, a Velcro patch makes it possible to attach what ever sign you need. The medium/40l specialist backpack carried as a backpack. SNIGELDESIGN 10

The backpack system Available and comfortable The backpack moved from your 120L backpack to your combat vest. The specialist backpack is attached on the back of the 120L backpack Unbuckle the four side release buckles so the specialist backpack is free. Remove the specialist backpack. Push the carry cushions under the mesh panel on the back of the backpack. Make the carry bands as long as possible so they can be used as a waist belt. Attach the side release buckle on one side of the combat vest. In this position you can also enter the backpack, even when it is still attached to one shoulder. Swing the backpack over your shoulder and pull it forward. Attach the side release buckle on other side of the combat vest. Grab the carry bands and close the side release buckles. These forms the waist belt. Tighten the belt. SNIGELDESIGN 11
