3 Patented TechAir Protection Technology Toshiba use the patented TechAir protection system in many of their cases The laptop is surrounded by interconnecting tubes of pressurised air. If the case is dropped or knocked, the tube is compressed forcing the air into neighbouring tubes. This disperses the shock away from the point of impact. Because all the tubes contain pressurised air, they never completely flatten. So if you drop your laptop it will not actually hit the ground.
