REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON Peace Work Fatherland ------------------------- YAOUNDE, March 9 th 2011 SPECIAL RECRUITMENT OF YOUNG CERTIFICATE-HOLDERS INTO THE PUBLIC SERVICE FOR THE 2011 FINANCIAL YEAR RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT Pursuant to the instructions of the President of the Republic, implemented by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, the Minister of the Public Service and Administrative Reform, chairman of the Technical Committee for the Special Recruitment of 25 000 young certificate-holders into the Public Service, hereby informs the public that a special recruitment of young certificate-holders into the Public Service has been announced for the 2011 financial year. I. METHOD OF SELECTING CANDIDATES : The selection of candidates shall be done through the studying of files by the structures provided for by Order No. 040/CAB/PM of 18 February 2011 to lay down the organization framework of the operation for the special recruitment of 25,000 young graduates into the Public Service for the 2011 financial year. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The selection shall be open to all Cameroonians who fulfil the following conditions: - Meet all requirements for entry into the Public Service; - Be at least 17 years old and at most 40 years old as at 30 April 2011. IV. FILE COMPOSITION Candidates complete application files shall be submitted, against a receipt, at the regional Delegations of the Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform and the following Cameroon diplomatic missions: High Commissions of Abuja, Pretoria, London, Ottawa; and embassies of Dakar, Addis Ababa, Rabat, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Riyadh, Peking, Washington and Brasilia not later than 14 April 2011 at 3:30 pm. The files shall comprise the following documents: 1. A folder bearing the region where file is submitted, candidate s full names, nature of certificate presented, specialization and the job position solicited; 2. A filled recruitment form bearing a fiscal stamp. Forms are available at Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform, its Regional Delegations or on the website: www.minfopra.gov.cm; 8
3. A certified true copy of birth certificate signed by a competent civil authority (Mayor, DO, SDO, Governor) ; 4. A certified true copy of the required certificate signed by a competent civil authority; 5. A photocopy of marriage certificate where applicable (No stamp required); 6. A photocopy of the National Identity card or passport; 7. A photocopy of certificate presented by candidate (No stamp required); 8. 4 (four) passport-size photographs; 9. Certificate of individuality where applicable; 10. A large stamped self-addressed envelope. N.B. : - Exceptionally, no registration fee shall be required. - Incomplete or late files or files containing documents not signed by the competent authorities shall be simply rejected. - Candidates are requested to submit only one file V. RECRUITMENT CONDITIONS Short-listed candidates shall be required to submit complete recruitment files. Candidates certificates shall be authenticated and the quality of their non-conviction certificates verified. Those which shall present anomalies shall be rejected and the candidates automatically disqualified. Successful candidates shall be recruited on the basis of a contract as State employees governed by the Labour Code.
