Compass Enrollment Tutorial To register for the UConn Early College Experience program you must apply by June 1 st and enroll online by June 30 th. To Enroll online: Click on the enrollment link provided in your e-mail Use your NetID and Password to login. NOTE: Your NetID must be activated to use it for enrollment. If you have not activated your NetID visit netid.uconn.edu to activate it now! Be sure to have a copy of your consent form with you at this time, as you will need to reference the list of your approved UConn ECE courses when enrolling. Follow the orange boxes throughout the tutorial for important information. 1
Search & Select Select the Term you will be taking the UConn ECE course(s) in (Fall or Spring) NOTE: You can only select one term at a time. For Full Year courses, select Fall 2014. Use the magnifying glass to select your high school Location Scroll through the list of high schools and select your high school by clicking on your high school Location Code in the left hand column. Click Search 2
Search & Select All UConn ECE courses will appear in your Search Results for the term you selected (Fall or Spring) Select the courses you have been approved to enroll in by clicking the box in the Select column. NOTE: Full year sections will be identified by clicking on Class Details. 3
Search & Select Once you have selected the courses you are approved to enroll in for the selected term (Fall or Spring) click Add to Cart Your Shopping Cart will update to reflect the courses added. Use the blue arrows to view all records in your shopping cart. To add Spring courses to your Shopping Cart, navigate to the Term selection box and select Spring 2015 from the drop down menu. Click Search All UConn ECE courses offered at your high school in the Spring will appear in your Search Results Select the courses you have been approved to enroll in by clicking the box in the Select column. Click Add to Cart Once you have added all approved Fall AND Spring UConn ECE courses to your Shopping Cart click Next Step 4
Validate & Enroll Select the Classes in which you are approved to enroll Enter Permission Numbers (if required) Click Validate Classes Select the courses you have been approved to enroll in by clicking the box next to each course, or by clicking Select All Click Next Step: Enroll 5
Validate & Enroll You will receive a Success message stating you have added classes to your schedule. NOTE: If you receive an Enrollment Failed message check the details of the message for more information on the error. If your enrollment was unsuccessful due to a missing Permission Number contact your high school instructor for a permission number. Enter your permission number, select the course that was unsuccessful, click Revalidate Classes, and once validated, select the course and click Next Step: Enroll To enroll in additional courses click Search & Select and follow the steps on the previous pages to complete enrollment. 6
Compass Student Center To view the courses you successfully enrolled in click Compass Student Center View a printer-friendly version of your Class Schedule You must select a term by using the magnifying glass. You will need to view a Fall 2014 schedule and Spring 2015 schedule separately NOTE: Be sure to enable your pop-up blocker 7
To Logout of the enrollment system click Logout in the top green menu bar You will receive the message below NOTE: if you are logged out of the system at any time, go back to your original approval to enroll e-mail and use the embedded link. DO NOT BOOKMARK the enrollment webpage. The link will not work if it is bookmarked.
