INFOPACK PARTICIP@NDO Dear participant of Particip@ndo project, First we would like to congratulate you because you take part in this, our Erasmus+ project. We hope you are motivated to learn and to enjoy with this activity. We would like to provide you with some information that will guide you in your preparation for the youth exchange. In this document you will find: some background information about our organization and our project Particip@ndo. daily programme of Activity A.1 Particip@ndo (Youth Exchange in Spain). some information about travel to Spain. list of things to bring with you. Background information about our organization Punto de Informacion Juvenil del Ayuntamiento de San Andrés y Sauces (Information Youth Point of San Andres y Sauces Municipality) is service of youth of San Andres y Sauces Municipality, so it s a local public body. It started in 2013 to give to young people an own place for participation and to provide information service about formal and non-formal education, employment, grants,etc. The mainly objetives of our organization are: Provide interest information for youth. Non-formal education about social values: human rights, equality, no hate, enviroment, sexuality,etc. Promote active participation of young people in comunity. Background information about Particip@ndo. Why Particip@ndo? The name of this project Particip@ndo ( Particip@ting, in English) was born later our first experience in a ( Rompiendo Barreras ) a youth exchange project celebrated in our island and in Estonia on January and March of 2015. By this reason, the specific aims and objetives for Rompiendo Barreras are: Learn from other European young people to participate actively in society, specially in rural communities. Learn how to promote the incluion of youth in their communities. Learn how to use natural reource tht surround us as means of participation and social development mechanism. What is Particip@ndo? It is a project of K.A.1, in the by European Commision. It has one mainly activity: a youth exchange in La Palma (Spain), for 22 young people (between 14-19 years) and 4 group leaders. In this project participe three EU organitations, Ayuntamiento de San Andrés y Sauces-Punto de Información Juvenil (Spain) as coordinator, European Youth Centre of Breclav (Czech Republic) and Information Youth Point of Kordelio-Evosmos (Greece), as partners.

PROGRAMME OF PARTICIP@NDO ACTIVITY 1. YOUTH EXCHANGE IN LA PALMA Place: This activity is in La Palma Island, Canary Islands, Spain. The most part of our activities will be in San Andrés y Sauces, a little rural town in the north side of the island. This town is knew by the exceptional forest of Laurisilva, which is Biosfere World Research, and cultural traditions. LA PALMA ISLAND

We are going to stay in Aula de La Naturaleza de Las Cancelas. It s a little public hostel for 26 persons. It s located in our town, about 30 minutes walking from the town center, in the middle of nature landscape. It has two rooms for 4 group-leaders, four rooms for 24 persons, kitchen, bathnrooms and a big room which can be used as dinning room, meetings, workshops, games...

TRAVEL DETAILS We are going to contract a group travel in a travel agency for partners group. The official confirmation of National Agency is late, so we ll try to get the most confortable and easiest travel. we ll have reservation, we ll advise gropu leaders to confirm travel. LIST OF THINGS YOU HAVE TO BRING WITH YOU Passport and National I.D. Card. (Travel is abroad different countries, please keep all of them with you). Sleeping bag or sheets and blankets. (If anybody haven t it, please confirm previosly we can looking for somebody) Warm clothes. While we are in the Canary Islands, the weather is so differente in every side of island. (September temperature used to be 17º-23º; 75-90% Wet; Probably rain between 0%-25%) Walking shoes. Hiking backpack. Lamp for activities in the night. Towel. Bathing suit. Eager to participate, learn and pass it very well. And so if you can, some traditional food, games, dance, musical instrument, etc. to sharing in the intercultural evening. If somebody have special needs (diet, mobility, accesibility information, etc), please contact with your group leader or organisers.
