AMR End To End Process (System View) Manual Sales Negotiation Confirmed Sale Compile T20 OPS/ Message Server Import T20 Receive Appointment Receive Site Visit Data Export Data Services TIMS Desktop Survey Manage in TIMS Invoicing MAM Soft Import Job File Schedule Job Receive Site Visit Data Installer Perform Site Visit Systems GGES combines a number of its own bespoke systems to deliver high quality data and AMR services. Operating System (OPS) This is the main import / export centre of GGES which processes all inbound data and creates outbound data. Data comes from a number of different sources and is processed in accordance with the source and type of data received. Message Server This small but important package acts as a data collection and delivery service and distribution centre for all the OPS files generated for export. Multiple file types and locations for single clients can be administered with this application which also logs and audits all files, both inbound and outbound. Technical Information Management System (TIMS) This application is the central GGES interface with the main database. It allows for all the GGES operatives to interact with the system and manage the whole of the operation. The processes and statuses managed here include configurations, allocations, site works, all data services & invoicing. MAMsoft Is a GGES written application that resides on the site works agent s network. Its prime function is to act as a middleware application between the OPS & Installer systems. Job files sent from OPS are received via FTP into MAMsoft which allows the MAMsoft operator to administer appointments and then allocate to a dedicated installer engineer. MAMsoft then creates the relevant file flows back to OPS which allows for the GGES operatives to monitor progress via the TIMS system. Installer As the name suggests, this application interfaces with the AMR equipment at the point of installation. It guides the engineer through the installation process performing tasks such as network signal test, meter validation, configuration set-up, message test and AMR equipment switch-on. Low Power Radio Data Logger Low power radio technology has been developed following years of experience of deploying AMR systems in the UK and USA. These products have been purposely designed to maximize range and penetration within a building. Data is transmitted in the 868 MHz ISM radio band using a technique called narrow band transmission. The radio operates at a lower data rate which sets it apart from other systems (such as Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Bluetooth) to provide better penetration of buildings and increase range. The radio consists of two parts: Transmitter (Merlin) - Zone Zero ATEX Approved - Multi utility - Many applications outside of utility monitoring - Very easy to install Receiving data Hub (Kestrel) The Kestrel can receive transmissions from a group of transmitters (Merlins) and will concentrate the data for upward delivery over a wide area network, which can be Internet or GPRS enabled. In the case of Internet, the data can be delivered near real time to a secure Web site or customer s browser. Gazprom Global Energy Solution s technology aims to deliver a better overall cost/performance profile than other systems, for low data traffic applications. Specifically, the key benefits are: The underlying radio cost structure is lower Near real time data down to 10 seconds Choice of wide area network (Internet and GPRS) Longer ranges can be achieved and for a given range, reliability is better Long battery life The system can make use of low powered, unlicensed frequency bands The system can comply with regulations in many countries The system has a full range of interfaces, from electrical interfaces, to internet Web enabled management interfaces Has complete integration with GGES s other products and solutions These attributes are ideal for applications such as: Monitoring and targeting applications Primary metering Secondary metering Interface to Customer Display Units Link to BMS
