However, to be able to become members to the program, they need to pay P100.00 membership fee. Card Replacement P100.00 applies to both Alumni ID Alumni Plus Card. 8 Mabini Extension, TERMS AND CONDITIONS WU-P Alumni Privilege Program is a membership program open to all graduates of Wesleyan University-Philippines (WU-P). The terms conditions of this program are set out at the sole discretion of the University are subject to change without prior written notice. * Membership Eligibility Issuance of Membership Card 1. All graduates of WU-P may avail membership to this program by presenting their alumni ID. In the event that the applicant has no alumni ID, any proof of graduation must be presented to the Office for Alumni Affairs for verification (diploma, TOR, or receipt of graduation fees) fees must be settled. 2. Processing of membership to the program will then be facilitated. 3. A membership card called Alumni Plus Card will be issued. * The Alumni Plus Card 1. This privilege card contains the cardholder s name, picture, control number expiration date. At the back, a signature panel is provided. The cardholder will be asked to affix his/ her signature on it. 2. The card is non-transferable privileges cannot be extended to another user. 3. The card is valid until the date of expiration stipulated therein. To continue enjoying privileges, it is encouraged that it be renewed at least one week before expiration. 4. Tampered defective cards will not be honored. 5. Lost or stolen card should be reported at once to the Office for Alumni Affairs. A replacement card can be availed of for a minimal fee of P120. 00. The same expiration date will be retained. However, if the expiration date is near the member opted to renew it, he may do so the expiration date will then be adjusted to the date of renewal. Use of the card 1. The cardholder should present the card before purchase or paying bills to avail discounts from participating establishment. 2. The establishment reserves the right to validate the card. A supporting ID may be required. 3. For HOSPITAL (Wesleyan University Medical Center) discount availment: The card could only be honored one week after issuance of the card. No refunds will be given. FEEDING PROGRAM: PISO MO, KALUSUGAN KO! ACTION AGAINST MALNUTRITION alnutrition has always been one of the major health problems in our country. It is evident even in our embraced community in Pangatian,. Malnourished children were identified efforts are initiated through our outreach programs. In response to this problem, the Office for Alumni Affairs created a feeding program entitled Piso Mo, Kalusugan Ko! aimed at helping identified malnourished children achieve a desirable nutritional status through provision of well-balanced meals every day. Collaboration will be undertaken to maximize the results of this program. Office for Alumni Affairs coordinates works with the Wesleyan Community Outreach Program (WESCOP) headed by Dr. Apolinar M. Alfonso, the different academic departments administrative units of the Wesleyan University-Philippines. The GOAL of the feeding program is to be able to engage the alumni in a tangible project that will benefit the less-fortunate children in the community. Children will be fed meals every day in a predeter mined area like the health center to ensure that food is prepared served properly caloric requirements are met, 2. Monitoring evaluation documentation will be done by the Office. A child graduates from the program once desired body weight is achieved. 5. GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING 2014 The Alumni Homecoming was one of the highlights of the week-long celebration of the 68th founding anniversary of Wesleyan University Philippines. It was held at the university auditorium on February 15, 2014. With the theme WATTA (Wesleyan Alumni through the Age), the homecoming became an avenue for former friends acquaintances to meet reminisce the good-old-days. A total of 452 alumni wore the fashion statement of the decade which added to the prestige excitement of the event. The former Director of Alumni Affairs Wilfredo C. Ramos, gave thanks to all the alumni who attended the event though the preparation was done only for two months. Wesleyan University-Philippines Nursing Alumni Association-USA The very first Gr Nursing Alumni Homecoming was a tremendous success. It was held at the university gymnasium on July 19-20, 2013. It was attended by alumni from various countries particularly in United States of America (USA). It is note-worthy to mention that the WUPNAA-USA has been conceived by a group of alumni faculty through the initiative of their former dean, Dr. Norma Corpuz-Rabara, who migrated to the United States together with her family in 1990. I am grateful to all the people behind the preparation which simply proved to be worthy of exaltation, he added. Moreover, Alumni President Proceso T. Domingo shared his happiness in the griosity of the celebration. Following his speech immediately was University President Pacifico B. Aniag. He said that he was inspired by all the alumni (both from the academe outside) for attending the momentous event. He mentioned that the many successes of university are because of its graduates who helped in most of the projects, infrastructures in other noble causes. He further encouraged the alumni to always keep in touch to preserve the Wesleyan spirit alive. Through the efforts of Dean Rabara the alumni association remains very active up to present in fact resulted to the birth of different chapters in USA numerous countries. The chapters created are: East Coast Chapter (1990), Texas Chapter (2003), California Chapter (2005) Florida Chapter (2008), Midwest Chapter(2008). Canada Chapter (2008), Pacific Northwest Chapter (2010), Philippine Chapter (2002), Middle East Chapter (2010), WUPNAA Emirates Middle East (2010) Other chapters expected to organize are United Kingdom, Hawaii, New Zeal, Australia hopefully more. There were 452 alumni from different colleges who attended the event. This is surely memorable because I had a chance, once again, to talk with my college friends classmates.
