This appointment in addition to regular survey and audit work at the station. February 2001- June 2001: Oslo, Norway Temporary assignment to DNV Oslo for work as part of a small team to evaluate and define and develop the systematics for Class machinery surveys based on condition-based monitoring. June 2001 to January 2004: Ulsan, South Korea Newbuilding surveyor & Project Manager based at Hyundai Heavy Industries Site Office. Team member for 4 bulk carriers and responsible Project Manager for 9 tankers for major owners (Kristian G. Jebsen and Teekay Shipping). January 2004 to July 2005: Oslo, Norway Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for development and implementation of major, new production software platform. Duties involved development and writing of specifications from the surveyor s perspective, liaising with software developers, formulating data conversion strategy and extensive training and troubleshooting during roll-out and implantation worldwide. July 2005 to June 2007: Oslo, Norway Flying Squad Manager responsible for evaluation and targeting of substandard vessels requiring special attention and follow-up. Management and co-ordination of a small team of experienced surveyors based at offices around the world to attend identified vessels and follow-up/take appropriate action. Also active in performing such surveys. Additional duties included internal fact finding and quality case investigations at the request of the Technical Director. July 2007 to May 2010: Vancouver, Canada Station Manager with overall responsibility for production and technical customer service management in the unit as well as personnel and general office management. Extensive interaction and handling of technical enquiries/issues with locally based ship management companies (including Teekay Shipping & Seaspan Ship Management). Active in surveys of Ships in Operation and Certification of Material and Components. Significant other activities included damage and condition surveys for Hull & Machinery, Loss of Hire and P&I Underwriters.

Significant Projects Newbuilding Project Manager 3 x Suezmax and 2 x Aframax Tankers Project Manager for 3 x Suezmax and 2 x Aframax Tankers for Teekay Shipping Ltd. from 2002 to 2004 at Hyundai Heavy Industries. Responsible for all aspects of DNV's site supervision of the project including management of 4 Team Members. Newbuilding Project Manager - 4 x Suezmax Tankers NB Project Manager for 4 x Suezmax Tankers built for K. G. Jebsen Skipsrederi of Norway from 2001 to 2003 at Hyundai Heavy Industries. Responsible for all aspects of DNV's site supervision of the project including management of 3 Team Members. Newbuilding Team Member - 4 x Panamax Bulk Carriers NB Team Member working on 4 x Panamax Bulk Carriers for Arcadia of Greece from 2001 to 2002 at Hyundai Heavy Industries. Involved in all aspects of hull, machinery and electrical surveys during construction period. Extensive Structural Modification of Ore Carrier Project Manager and surveyor for extensive structural modification of a large ore carrier at Samho Heavy Industries following extensive fatigue fractures. Work included replacement of over thousand tonnes of new structure and several thousand additional brackets. Conversion of Ro-Flo vessel to Cable Layer Project Manager and surveyor for conversion of old Russian roll-on roll-off / float-on float-off vessel to a cable layer at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in 1999. Conversion included installation of new machinery space and auxiliary engines, bow thrusters, additional superstructure decks, cable tanks and Dynamic Positioning System. Co-ordination of Initial ISM Certification for Teekay Shipping DNV s Customer Service Manager responsible for coordination of the initial ISM certification by DNV for local client, Teekay Shipping from 1997 to 1998. Scandinavian Marine Claims Office Inc. 1995 to 1996 Marine Insurance Surveyor based in Stamford, U.S.A. working with vessel Hull & Machinery and Loss of Hire insurance claims throughout North and Central America.
