Multiple Pathways for Students (NAS) 12th October 2012
Bachelor s Degree Programmes Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) is a scheme and the main route of application designed to assist students with Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examinations (HKDSE) to apply for admission to degree programmes (4-year curriculum) offered by universities.

Entrance Requirements under New Academic Structure (NAS) Students applying for the 4-year undergraduate programmes offered by the UGC-funded institutions have to attain Level 3 for Chinese Language and English Language and Level 2 for Mathematics and Liberal Studies (i.e. 3322 ).
Entrance Requirements of UGC-funded Institutions under NAS Institutions CityU BU LingnanU CUHK HKIEd PolyU HKUST HKU Elective subjects Level 3 in one subject Level 2 in one subject Level 2 in one subject Level 3 in one subject (most programmes) Level 2 in one subject Level 2 in one subject Either (i) Level 3 in two subjects, or (ii) Level 3 in one subject plus Level 3 in one Extended Module of Mathematics (M1/M2) Level 3 in two subjects * Candidates performance in extra elective subjects will be considered in the selection process, and bonus points will be awarded to up to 2 such subjects.
Entrance Requirements of UGC-funded Institutions under NAS Individual institutions / faculties / programmes will determine the attainment level required for one or two elective subjects, and other admission requirements. These entrance requirements are minimum requirements and do not guarantee entrance to a particular university or programme.

Sub-Degree Programmes Associate Degree Programme (AD) Higher Diploma Programme (HD) AD programmes provide broad-based education which weigh more on generic knowledge and skills HD programmes have a more vocational orientation which place a stronger emphasis on specialised knowledge and skills required for a profession.
Sub-Degree Programmes Subsidised sub-degree programmes (provided by VTC, UGCfunded institutions and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts): Self-financed sub-degree places 2012 about 9,200 places about 32,000 places 2013 about 7,000 places about 24,000 places The above figures (2013) will vary subject to different factors
Entrance Requirements for Associate Degree (AD) and Higher Diploma (HD) programmes under the NAS Applicants are eligible to apply for admission to AD or HD programmes if they meet the minimum entrance requirements of Level 2 in five HKDSE subjects including English and Chinese.
