Danish Battery Society Presentation of the society
Why a Danish Battery Society? The battery research is blooming again at the universities around the country and a number of Danish companies are considering or already focusing on implementing batteries in commercial products. The active players in Denmark are often small groups and to compete internationally, we see a need for exchange of knowledge and experience, i.e. characterization methods, lab facilities, types of batteries and market trends. 5
What is the Danish Battery Society? An independent professional organization of persons, institutions and companies working with batteries in Denmark. By organizing open meetings and events, DBS will secure a high level of knowledge sharing within research and application of battery materials and technologies between Danish companies and research institutions. 6
Main goals of DBS To promote the cooperation within electrochemical energy storage in Denmark through organization of meetings and events for academia and industry. To be the most relevant forum in Denmark for all activities related to the academic and technical aspects of batteries. 7
