Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Nursing offers the Bachelor s of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. The BSN program is designed to prepare candidates for entry into practice as a nurse generalist. Roseman utilizes the block curriculum system where courses are taught in a logical and sequential order, allowing students to concentrate on one subject at a time. Clinical rotations provide a real world experience at various health care facilities. Upon completion of the BSN degree, graduates will be able to apply for and take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) which is required to become a registered nurse. The Bachelors of Science in Nursing programs in Nevada have approval by the Nevada State Board of Nursing (website: http://nevadanursingboard.org/) Roseman University of Health Sciences is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) - website: http://www.nwccu.org/). The Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing - website: http://www.acenursing.org). Program Overview Roseman offers an 18-month full-time BSN program at the Henderson, Nevada and South Jordan, Utah campuses. The 18-month BSN program begins each August at the Henderson campus and each January at the South Jordan campus. The College of Nursing begins accepting applications on September 1 st for the following August cohort and beginning on February 1 st for the following January cohort. Due to rolling admissions, deadlines may vary depending on the number of applications received and space availability. Please contact the Admissions and Enrollment Office at bsnadmissions@roseman.edu to determine the most up-to-date deadlines. Classes are scheduled Monday to Friday from 8am 3pm. Clinical rotation shifts may vary in each block. The length of each block varies depending on the course. The program is continuous with a one-week summer break in June/July and a two-week winter break in December/January. Roseman also offers an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program that admits several times per year. The ABSN program is a second-degree program for students who already have a Bachelor s degree in a field other than Nursing. The didactic component is held online and the clinical and lab components are all done in person. All assessments and group assignments are also done in-person. The College of Nursing is committed to creating an environment whereby students are provided additional learning opportunities to achieve the standard of 90% on all block requirements. Thus, students are provided the opportunity to remediate Assessments, skills, and other educational assignments to achieve the 90% passing grade. Remediation provides students the opportunity to work with the faculty to identify areas that require additional focus and mastery, develop learning strategies, and re-test or rewrite the educational assignment.

NursingCAS Application Process for Roseman University Step-by-Step Instructions Upon completion of creating an account via Nursing CAS, students will be required to complete four (4) sections for successful submission of an application. The sections for completion are as follow: Personal Information Academic History Supporting Information Program Materials Personal Information There are seven (7) parts to the Personal Information Section. In this section you will need to complete all parts with the exception of the Family Information. However, you will need to specify that you are not adding any Parent/Guardian information. This option is available in the Family Information Section, please see example below.

Academic History There are five (5) parts to the Academic History section. Roseman University only requires you to complete the following Sections: Colleges Attended, Transcript Entry, and Standardized Test. The College Attended section is important to complete so NursingCas and Roseman University can track which schools we should receive transcripts from. If your degree or coursework is in process, please be sure to make note of that in this section. This will be important when verifying the transcripts. When completing the transcript entry portion of your academic history, it is important to have a copy of your transcripts with you so you can properly enter in all coursework as it is outlined on your transcript. This step is critical for proper review and verification of your transferrable credits. A sample has been provided below. **Please not that once you enter in your coursework, the CAS Grade will auto-populate as you click on box.

Transcript Review Ready to finalize your transcripts? First, preview each transcript to ensure you have entered all of your coursework exactly as it appears on your transcripts. Next, continue to Transcript Review to finalize this section of your application. You will be asked to identify additional attributes about your coursework, so keep your transcripts handy. Since the TEAS are required for admissions to Roseman University Nursing Programs, it is beneficial to upload the scores in the Standardized Test portion of your academic history. While this is not required it helps with proper review of your overall application. TEAS scores that are not taken at Roseman University will still need to be transferred to Roseman University through www.atitesting.com. Supporting Information References, Achievements, Experiences, or Licensure/Certifications are NOT required for admissions to Roseman University of Health Sciences. In this section, please be sure to click the button that specifies you are not adding information. Program Materials In addition to the NursingCas Fee, there is a supplemental fee that is to be paid directly to Roseman University. You will find the link to make an online payment to Roseman University under the Home tab in Program Materials. For quicker processing, please upload a copy of your receipt of the supplemental fee to your application. After submitting your supplemental payment you will need to click on the Prerequisite tab to identify the perquisites you have completed. To do this, you must have completed the Transcript Entry in Academic History section. In order to identify the prerequisites you will need to click on the assign course button associated with the specific prerequisite.

Once you click on the assign course button you will be prompted to an additional screen where you are able to assign the specific course that matches the prerequisite. Remember, if you have not entered in all transcripts from the Academic History Section, the course will not show in the Perquisites tab for identifying the perquisites. In this example, you would click the + button to add Chem 110 as the course that would satisfy the Chemistry Prerequisite. If you have not satisfied the requirement or uncertain if a course will satisfy the particular prerequisite, please click on the I Am Not Matching Any Course to this Prerequisite. You will then need to click Save and Exit and repeat these steps for the remaining prerequisites.

After all prerequisites have been entered you are now ready for your final step to submit your application. You will notice that after each section has been completed it will turn green with a checkmark as seen in the image below. In addition, you will also notice that in the My Program Selection you will see that there is 1 program ready to submit. Click on the Manage my Programs tab where you will be prompted to the screen as shown in the example below.

Click on the Pay and Submit this Program Tab and follow the directions to pay for the program. This will prompt Roseman University that your application has been properly submitted for additional processing. Selection Criteria for Admission* *Subject to change Applications are reviewed based on the GPA and TEAS results, in relations to the entire applicant pool, to determine eligibility for an interview. The College of Nursing generally schedules four interview dates for each admission. Applicants must be prepared to attend one of the scheduled interview dates. The Admissions and Enrollment Office will notify students of the dates once it is determined that they have met the admissions requirements. Candidates are interviewed in person unless there is an extenuating circumstance. Upon completion of an interview, the Admissions Committee considers the applicant based on the following areas: o Academic Achievement Score (Based on the GPA and grades received in prerequisite coursework) o Outstanding prerequisite courses will receive a score of zero o TEAS Score (Points are awarded based on the overall score and results of the individual areas of Math, Science, Reading and English) o Interview and Writing Sample Score Additional information regarding points and the scoring system will be distributed at the time of the interview. Notification of admission will be provided via e-mail approximately 3-weeks after the interview. The College of Nursing employs rolling admissions until all seats are filled therefore it is highly advisable that candidates apply early. The Admissions Committee may decide to place an applicant on a hold status until all prerequisites are completed. The decision for admission may be delayed for applicants who have outstanding prerequisite course work.
