2016 De Anza Student Art Show and Competition at the Euphrat Museum of Art CONTRACT (page 1 of 6) ART SHOW: May 2, 2016 - June 9, 2016 RECEPTION AND AWARDS: Wednesday May 18, 2016, 5:30pm - 7:30pm The annual student show in the Euphrat Museum of Art, located at the front of the Visual and Performing Arts Center! ELIGIBILITY: Work completed at De Anza College in art, photo, and graphic design classes by students between 2014 2016 and not exhibited before in a student show. All media. Maximum of two entries per student. PREPARATION AND DELIVERY OF ENTRIES: No fragile construction. Work must be dry, suitably framed, with wire, and ready for hanging. For 2-D artwork use only braided picture wire rated for the weight and size of your artwork. Place the screw eyes or wire mounts 1/4 to 1/3 of the way down from the top. Double loop wire through a loop/screw eye that is secure. Test your hanger to assure that it won t slide or come off frame. Also, if the artwork leans out more than 1 from the wall, when hung, your wire is too long. The center of the wire, when in place, should not reach the top of the frame. (This does not apply to 3-D wall mounted pieces.) For graphic design classes, computer-generated images should be mounted on mat board as shown by the instructor. Artwork not properly prepared to hang or be displayed will not be accepted. Hand deliver only to the Euphrat Museum of Art. INSURANCE AND PHOTOGRAPHS: Care will be exercised in the handling of all works. No insurance will be provided by the museum. The Euphrat Museum of Art assumes the privilege of photographing work entered into the exhibition for the purpose of publicity, education or slide catalog. SCHEDULE Hand deliver only to the Euphrat Museum of Art. Bring entry form, DASB card, and artwork.
