Patient and Caregiver Resources Your best resource in the fight against cancer As part of its mission to improve the lives of patients with cancer, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN ) works to develop treatment guidelines and resources to help patients and their caregivers navigate through their experience with cancer and make informed choices. NCCN takes state-of-the-art cancer treatment protocol used by the world s top doctors and translates it into easy-to-understand information for patients and their caregivers. NCCN.org/patients is a patient-friendly source for information about cancer and its treatment, from diagnosis to survivorship, and all the stages in between. NCCN continues to expand its offering of patient resources, including the NCCN Guidelines for Patients, expert articles, searchable databases, and more. Understanding Your Diagnosis and Treatment According to the National Cancer Institute, there are more than 14 million cancer survivors in the United States. A cancer diagnosis brings with it not only the challenges of treatment, but practical and emotional issues as well. NCCN resources assist patients and their caregivers with overcoming the challenges related to cancer.

Where to Turn for Support Patient advocacy groups help patients, their families, and their caregivers navigate the cancer landscape. These groups work to ensure cancer patients receive appropriate and timely care, education, and financial assistance, when needed. NCCN.org/patients includes a comprehensive Patient Advocacy and Support Groups Directory that includes advocacy organizations devoted to people with cancer and their families. Visitors can search for groups using several different options, including disease type, treatment, and payment assistance.

NCCN.org/patients features: NCCN Guidelines for Patients Comprehensive dictionary of terms from NCCN Guidelines for Patients Up-to-date directory of Patient Advocacy and Support Organizations Payment Assistance information Database of Actively Enrolling Clinical Trials Video Library Visit NCCN.org/patients today and register to receive news and updates about developments in cancer treatment.

The NCCN Guidelines for Patients, translations of the NCCN clinical guidelines, are meant to help people with cancer talk with their doctors about the best treatment options for their disease. NCCN also offers summaries of updates as new NCCN Guidelines for Patients are posted. Visit NCCN.org/patients to view and download the NCCN Guidelines for Patients. Print versions available for certain cancer types. Funding for the NCCN Guidelines for Patients is provided through the NCCN Foundation.
