Formed by the merger of two consortia 10 years ago Each established over 25 years ago focused ion UNIX standards 2. 1994 The Open Group awarded the UNIX trade mark Used to denote products that conform to the Single UNIX Specification Came after XPG4 effectively unified the many flavors of UNIX 3. 1995 TOGAF first published Members of the Customer Council demanded standards for how to do Enterprise Architecture. US DISA Agency within the DoD donated TAFIM 4. 2001 Customer Council published a White Paper on The Interoperable Enterprise Foundation of the vision of Boundaryless Information Flow 5. 2003 In October launched the first Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference Very popular series, now the 23rd event forthcoming Now also Security Practitioners Conference
