INVITATION Invitation Visit Germany s Offshore Port Locations Exclusive site visit tours Date November 22-24, 2013 North Sea Tour Hamburg, Rendsburg, Brunsbüttel, Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven, Emden Baltic Sea Tour Hamburg, Wismar, Sassnitz, Altentreptow, Stralsund, Wittenberge Promoted by in accordance with a German Parliament resolution

Invitation Visit Germany s Offshore Port Locations Exclusive site visit tours Germany Trade & Invest is delighted to invite you to an exclusive site visit and tour of the important offshore port locations in Germany. You will visit the Offshore Hub Hamburg and speak to various industry experts and local representatives. We also offer you the opportunity to experience either ports catering to the North Sea (Rendsburg, Brunsbüttel, Cuxhaven, Emden, Bremerhaven) or locations along the Baltic Sea coast (Wismar, Sassnitz, Stralsund) and inland location Wittenberge. You will receive insight on offshore infrastructure already in place and visit areas available for wind industry settlement. The potential for offshore wind in Germany is huge: Currently there are 7 projects under construction with more projects planned to enter construction phase in 2014. In total, twenty-seven offshore wind farms in the German North Sea and another three projects in the Baltic Sea are formally approved, which makes the offshore industry an attractive field of investment in the years ahead. Germany s offshore port locations are strategically located at the center of all future northern European offshore wind activity. These ports represent in-situ offshore logistics solutions and facilitate optimized inbound and outbound supply chain management. To cater to offshore industry needs, significant investment has been made to develop heavy load port terminals in close proximity to production facilities. Large quayside storage areas and options for the pre-assembly of foundations and wind turbine components are already in operation. Your company can take advantage of a sound, well adapted infrastructure, plentiful logistics and service facilities, as well as reliable operators, allowing you to focus solely on your company s success. Participation in the tour is free of charge. Board and transport within Germany will be provided by Germany Trade & Invest and its partners from the federal states of Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Niedersachsen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Schleswig-Holstein.
