BOLLMER INDUSTRY EXCLUSIVE System services for nutrient recycling
Let us do everything that we can to pass on to the next generation the children of today a world which not only provides them with the necessary living space, but also the environment which supports life and makes living worthwhile. Richard von Weizsäcker (*1920), German politician, Federal President
Service partner for nutrient recycling and the circular economy The environmentally friendly and sustainable use of available resources, and the closing of natural nutrient cycles are the epicentre of the business activities of the Bollmer group. Here, ecology and economy at the service of the environment are the focus of our activities. Since its foundation in 1993, the Bollmer group has developed into one of the leading companies in the area of nutrient recycling and the circular economy, based on the solid foundation of a family company. The Bollmer group is the partner of numerous companies and communities right across Europe. Our services enable the closure of natural nutrient cycles!
A concept starts! We offer a comprehensive range of modern and reliable system services in the area of nutrient recycling. Another point of emphasis is the generation of energy, principally from organic materials, in addition to the creation and distribution of high-value agricultural fertilisers. The Bollmer group s business activities Nutrient recycling from industrial by-products Production of fertiliser for agriculture Generation of bio-energy Environmentally friendly composting
Services Innovations People The Bollmer group provides professional services to companies and communities for nutrient recycling and the circular economy. In doing so, our overarching goal is to close material cycles as completely as possible. In this way, we intend to protect the use of natural resources economically and efficiently. We are firmly convinced that the raw material sources of our age, and especially of the future, will be of a secondary rather than a primary nature. For this we have developed systems and products which will exploit valuable materials from industrial manufacturing processes better than up to now, whether for energy generation or as a high quality fertiliser for agriculture. In this way, we optimise your industrial material management, create efficient exploitation processes, and develop innovative products and energy sources. For this, the Bollmer group provides you with know-how, a professional service and many years experience. Georg Bollmer, managing director
Nutrient recycling Circular economy On the one hand, the business area of nutrient recycling and the circular economy stands with its services at the start of the production chain as a raw material supplier for energy generation, and for the manufacture of sustainable fertilisers, and on the other hand we are also at the end of industrial production processes and chains with the task of directing residual products and by-products towards modern and safe material exploitation. With powerful and intelligent logistics systems, and the consistently environmentally friendly exploitation of by-products from industry, our business area provides an important contribution to the maintenance of natural conditions for life. Our modern logistics solutions ensure smooth production processes.
Valuable raw materials for energy and agriculture Today, several hundred thousand tonnes of industrial by-products are gathered and prepared each year. High value raw materials result from this, for example our well known agricultural fertilisers, but also environmentally friendly energy sources which are sustainably converted into energy in our own biogas plants.
Our technology benefits for your added value In recent years, we have used numerous research projects and our own practical developments to establish closed cycles for ever more industrial by-products, and to develop products from them which are successfully marketed. Bollmer deposit fertilisation process Bollmer Kali AS fertilisation Bollmer Service fertilisation and sowing Bollmer system for exploitation of fermentation residue and slurry
Our just in time logistics certainty for you The Bollmer group has its own logistics system,so we are on the road for you around the clock. We collect products from your site just in time. Assessment, handling, collection, and transport are all provided by a single source. In addition, we have extensive storage and transfer capacities to be able to gather and group material flows for economical onwards transport and for processing at our locations. We transport recyclable materials using our own truck fleet, by road, rail, or even water. The most modern logistics for goods flows which match!
Raw materials for tomorrow As a company in nutrient recycling and the circular economy, the Bollmer group returns raw materials to the production cycle, especially by-products from industrial manufacture. These are above all organic raw materials, as well as inorganic by-products for our fertiliser manufacture. Our brands increasingly appreciated by farmers In our fertiliser manufacturing business unit we produce high quality fertilisers, mostly using raw materials which we have recycled. The branded products from Bollmer are popular fertilisers which are used by farmers all over Germany.
Energy from the region for the region The Bollmer has been active for many years in the generation of sustainable energy in the form of biogas. As biomass we use above all organic waste products from communities and by-products from foodstuff manufacture, in addition to agricultural substrate such as slurry and stable manure, as well as energy plants (maize, rye, sugar beet, etc.).
Our locations: Headquarters/administration Bollmer Umwelt GmbH Hermannstrasse Wietmarschen, Germany Biogas plant and composting Siedlerstrasse Wietmarschen-Schwartenpohl, Germany Biogas plant and stores Renkenberger Weg Lathen-Niederlangen, Germany Storage tank and marketing branch Ellersdorfer Weg Völpke-Badeleben, Germany Tank farm and marketing branch Messerschmidtstr Gescher-Hochmoor, Germany Storage tank at Lathen port Hafenstrasse Lathen, Germany Storage tanks and marketing branch Mellrich Effeler Strasse Rüthen, Germany Storage tanks and marketing branch Hessen Hafenstrasse Flörsheim am Main, Germany Storage tanks and marketing branch Boxberg Ballenberger Weg Boxberg, Germany Düsseldorf Bonn Saarland Nordsee Storage tank at Lathen port Lathen Biogas plant and stores Lathen-Niederlangen Biogas plant and composting Wietmarschen-Schwartenpohl Niederlande Tank farm and marketing branch Gescher-Hochmoor Bremen Headquarters/administration Bollmer Umwelt GmbH Wietmarschen Nordrhein- Westfalen Wiesbaden Mainz Rheinland- Pfalz Schleswig- Holzstein Hamburg Hannover Niedersachsen Storage tanks and marketing branch Mellrich Rüthen Erfurt Thüringen Hessen Storage tanks and marketing branch Hessen Flörsheim am Main Stuttgart Schwerin Storage tanks and marketing branch Boxberg Boxberg Bayern Mecklenburg- Vorpommern Haldensleben port Storage tanks and Berlin fertiliser manufacture Haldensleben Magdeburg Potsdam Storage tank Brandenburg and marketing branch Völpke-Badeleben Sachsen- Anhalt Sachsen Dresden Haldensleben port Storage tanks and fertiliser manufacture Haldensleben, Germany Baden- Würtemberg München
We are close to you Which is why at our production sites all over Germany we have a storage capacity of more than 240,000 tonnes including 50,000 tonnes capacity for the storage of liquid materials. Through these numerous storage facilities combined with our logistics system we can, where necessary, buffer nutrient flows from industrial manufacture, and therefore keep manufacturing systems in operation. Overview: New liquid manure store in Flörsheim port The new tank farm is in the port area on the river Main and has a storage capacity for 16,000 cubic metres of liquid manure. The two double-walled reinforced concrete tanks each have a diameter of 35 metres and a height of 8.4 metres. 200 cubic metres per hour of liquid manure can be discharged there. In addition to two HGV discharge facilities, the site has a discharging berth for barges. The Flörsheim storage facility is very well located in terms of transport. In addition to the connection with a waterway, The modern tank farm has 16,000 cubic metres of storage space for liquid manures the proximity to many agricultural regions in south-west Germany is a plus for this location.
Portrait: Nutrient recycling centre Schwartenpohl The Nutrient Recycling Centre in Wietmarschen- Schwartenpohl with its connected composting plant and fertiliser store has been in operation since Four processing lines are integrated into the roughly seven hectare plant. In addition to a biogas plant, 50,000 tonnes per year of green waste are composted, and 10,000 tonnes of wood residue are made into fuel. In addition, the Bollmer group has built a fertiliser store with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes.
Biogas plant with additional benefits The foundation for this is the 120,000 tonnes of biomass provided by different suppliers, e. g. in the foodstuffs industry. The plant has its own laboratory, in which the process biology is analysed. Here delivered materials and fermentation substrates are subject to regular testing. The heat generated during the process is used for wood drying in containers, in the feed-and-turn dryer, and via the satellite combined heating and power station for neighbouring livestock sheds. Biomass central heating plants, e. g. for plant nurseries and other facilities, take the dried wood chips.
Innovative fertilisers of our own manufacture We create high quality fertilisers from the fermentation residues of our biogas plant. These have proven themselves as economical alternatives to conventional fertilisers. As well as advantageous nutrient prices, the plant cultivation benefits are especially worthy of mention. For example, the nutrients are better available to the plants than in slurry or manure. With the innovative fertiliser Orgafert from Bollmer, farmers can complete the entire fertilisation in a single step. As well as the efficient large area distributors and sprayers with which liquid manures can be applied, the company also offers solutions for injection, e. g. using the CULTAN process. Using this, various nitrogen fertilisers are efficiently injected directly at the roots. This process was significantly further developed by the Bollmer group. It is used today for all agricultural crops and on grassland.
LOGISTICS BY GPS For all logistics tasks plus agricultural work, the Bollmer group relies on a geoinformation system which it has developed itself. Here, the Bollmer DiGIS system is used for work planning, e. g. for route guidance, documentation, and calculation of fertilising activities.
We make it clear! Thanks to professional logistics concepts, we are able to collect even small quantities just as economically as large loads, regardless of whether it is organic waste from foodstuffs manufacture or inorganic materials for the production of high quality fertilisers.
We reveal potentials for you! If you are interested in an integrated and economical recycling chain, together with you our process technologists and logistics experts will work out an individual nutrient recycling concept. This starts with a comprehensive consultation and analysis of potential. Furthermore, on your behalf we undertake the documentation, monitoring, and compliance with legal requirements, and create interfaces to your quality assurance and certification systems. Our team advises you, and we document the entire chain.
The benefits for you: Increased quality and lower costs Using our system services, you will be able to increase the quality of your production process. Usually, considerable costs savings can be achieved. Our infrastructure and the mature logistics concepts ensure an optimisation of your material flows. Here s to a productive partnership! We are the right partner for you, if you are seeking a holistic solution for your nutrient recycling. Our solutions fulfil the requirements of society and the environment. The services which we offer are process-integrated to your needs always and everywhere.
Quality assurance and control Our quality assurance and control guarantee a permanently reliable and defined quality standard, as well as the reliable characterisation of the product properties. Above all for recycling products, which for example are produced from by-products from industrial manufacture, we rely on independent quality control, as well as the characterisation as a tested product.
Our quality assurance system ensures a high-quality product standard, thus creating trust with our customers, and guarantees the necessary legal compliance. In addition, the path from the supplier to the place of use is transparently documented and verifiable. For our industrial clients, this produces benefits, for example through the exemption from the obligation to official verification, and documentation without gaps.
You receive maximum certainty The Bollmer group has an extensive internal quality assurance and certification system. For this, we use the following systems: RAL quality assurance from the Bundesgütegemeinschaft für Kompost und Gärreste (German Federal Quality Organisation for Compost and Fermentation Residues), recognised investigation institutions, and accredited laboratories investigate nutrient sources and fertilisers.

Sustainability is our core business Through our entrepreneurial activities, we accept social responsibility, both ecologically and economically. This applies to every area of our business operations. The acceptance of responsibility for man and for the environment is a significant component of our company philosophy. Ensure raw materials! Protect the climate! Encourage agriculture! Improve infrastructure!
