Account Code See (Traveling Class of Service Page 25) Agent (UCD) Logon / Logoff Agents (extensions) may dial a code, which temporarily takes them out of the UCD group. Once the agent logs off, they will not receive any additional incoming UCD calls. This can be very helpful when an agent is out of the office or out to lunch. Alarm Each X2020 connected to the X- 50 system can use up to 3 telephone alarms, which can be programmed to play once or set to repeat every day. All Call Page See Paging: All Call Paging Page 20 Alternate Attendant A second extension may be programmed as the Alternate Attendant. The alternate answering position serves as a back- up position to the primary attendant. Telephone (Trunk) Line ringing will forward to the alternate answering position after the pre- programmed ring alternate position time. Announce Only Mailbox (No Recording) This type of mailbox is used to eliminate repetitive questions such as Directions to your location or Holiday hours. This mailbox type plays the greeting, and then hangs up to free itself for a new caller. All mailboxes on the X- 50 can have take message disabled, changing it into an announcement only mailbox. Answering Machine Emulation Answer Machine Emulation simulates a telephone answering machine allowing the user to listen to the message or lift the handset to speak to the caller once a call is forwarded to voicemail. Simply press the voicemail button, which will flash indicating that a caller is leaving a message. Attendant Administration The attendant can perform specific administrative functions, such as selecting the operating mode; Day, Night or Temporary. 6

Attendant Extension (Programmable) One primary attendant is provided in the system for support of necessary services like Line Recall, Dialing Zero and Manual Night Service Operation. A second or alternate attendant (See Alternate Attendant Page 6) position may be established for common sharing of incoming Telephone (Trunk) Line calls or load sharing during peak traffic periods. Attendant Recall Calls placed on hold, will recall the extension that placed it on hold. If the call goes unanswered, the attendant extension will ring. Automated Attendant Auto Attendant provides functionality that can eliminate the need for attendant personnel. Through a greeting, callers are given a list of options to dial their desired destination, such as an extension number. Automated Attendant Personalize Greetings This allows you to record a personalized greeting that will be played to callers when the automated attendant answers a call. All XBLUE systems allow you to record a day and a night greeting; some allow you to have special weekend, holiday or temporary greetings. The X- 50 has 10 separate Automated Attendant Greetings, which can be personalized and played to one or more callers. In addition, the X- 50 can be programmed to play a different greeting to as many as 8 different telephone lines. Automated Attendant Customizable Menus The X- 50 comes with 10 different custom call routing (single digit dialing) menus, which allows a caller to enter digits to route their call. This is frequently used to Press 1 for sales, 2 for support, etc. Automatic Daylight Savings The X16 will synchronize the date and time using the telephone line provider s caller ID information. When connected to the Internet the X- 44 and X- 50 uses Network Time Protocol (NTP), which is automatic. Automatic Hold Automatic hold allows extension users to jump from one Telephone (Trunk) Line directly to another Telephone (Trunk) Line, placing each line on hold, without pressing the hold button. This allows busy extension users, such as the attendant, to answer multiple calls very quickly. 7

Automatic Line Select (Hotline) Users may select how their idle extension functions when lifting the handset or pressing the speaker button. An extension can be set to access a specific outside line, a line group, or leave it empty so that it accesses intercom automatically when going off hook or pressing the speaker button. Automatic Mute To ensure that a caller does not overhear a private conversations taking place in an office, you may set your extension to automatically the Automatic Mute function. This allows the caller to make a one way announcement and requires the called party to press their mute button to answer the calling party. Automatic Privacy All extensions conversations are considered private. Therefore, no other extensions can join in on a conversation. (See Privacy / Privacy Release Page 21) Automatic Record When this feature is enabled for an extension, all telephone line calls will automatically be recorded and stored in the extension s voice mailbox. Automatic Route Select (See: Least Cost Routing (Call Routing) Page 17) Automatic Save Voice Mail Messages Messages are automatically saved each time after a message has been reviewed. Backlit Display The X16, X- 2020 and X- 44 telephones all have backlit displays. The X16 has a vibrant blue backlit display whereas the X- 44 and X- 50 have a large green 6- line backlit display. Making all of them easy to use and operate in offices and dimly lit areas, such as a restaurant. Block Anonymous The X- 44 and X- 50 have the ability to block incoming calls with the name Anonymous. 8

Broadcast Announcements (X- 50 Distribution) The X- 50 uses distribution lists to broadcast a single message to more than one extension. Each distribution list can have up to 25 extensions. Busy Lamp Field (Busy Telephone (Line) Indication) A busy lamp is a preprogrammed button, which is a visual indication showing the status of an extension or telephone line on the system. The associated LED will be lit solid indicating that the extension or telephone line is busy. Busy Ring Allow/Deny (Call Waiting) Extension users may select to allow or deny additional calls to ring their extension when they are busy. When busy ring is allowed, extension users will hear a special beep tone when a second call rings at their extension. If denied, the call will follow the extension s call forwarding parameter (See Call Forward Page 9). Call Announce Privacy At default, all X16 telephones allow two internal parties to speak with each other without pressing the speaker button or lifting the handset. To ensure privacy of conversations taking place in an office, extension users may activate the Automatic Mute function. (See Automatic Mute Page 8) Call Forward The call forward feature allows extension users to automatically forward calls to another destination. This is especially helpful when you re out of the office, busy or unavailable to take new calls. There are several different types of call forwarding as well as forwarding destinations, such as; another extension, voicemail or to an external telephone number such as a cellular phone or home telephone number. Busy Busy Call Forward - forwards all incoming calls to the preprogrammed destination only when the extension is busy. Extensions that are busy forwarded will not ring when a second call is presented to them. However, an alert tone may be heard indicating that a new call is being routed to the forwarded destination. Direct Direct Call Forward - forwards all incoming calls to the preprogrammed destination as soon as it is presented to the extension. An alert tone may be heard indicating that a new call is being routed to the forwarded destination. 9

Do Not Disturb The X- 50 allows an extension to forward their calls to the same or different location when Do Not Disturb enabled at their extension. Follow Me Follow Me Forward - feature allows internal extension users to re- forward their extensions to a new location. This is especially helpful when waiting for an important telephone call but must go to another destination, such as an impromptu meeting. An alert tone may be heard indicating that a new call is being routed to the forwarded destination. Forking Call Forward Call forking is an X- 50 feature that requires an XBLUE (SIP Trunk) Telephone Line Service, for external number, which rings both the internal extension and the preprogrammed external destination such as a cellular or home telephone. Call Forward Call Forking does not require SIP Trunks when forwarding from one extension to another. In addition, the X- 50 allows you to program a second number, which is referenced if the first number is busy. Idle Idle Forward feature will forward all calls presented to an extension, only when it is idle. An alert tone may be heard indicating that a new call is being routed to the forwarded destination. No Answer No Answer Call Forward - feature, will forward calls that are presented to an extension, which goes unanswered. No answer forward will allow extension users to receive a second telephone call even though they are currently on the phone. At default, all extensions are set to No Answer Call Forward. An alert tone may be heard indicating that a new call is being routed to the forwarded destination. Off- Net (External) Forward Extension Off- Net Call Forward feature allows extension users, with the proper Class of Service (see Class of Service Page 12), to forward their incoming calls to a remote destination such as a cellular or home telephone number. The extension user can change their forwarded destination from their extension. An alert tone may be heard indicating that a new call is being routed to the forwarded destination. 10

Call Logs Telephone System The X- 44 and X- 50 have personal call logs that include incoming, outgoing, missed calls. The X16 has an inbound Caller ID log and will store up to 6 outbound (Last Number Redialed) numbers. Call Park Call Park often called orbit is a special location within the system that allows a user to dial a code and place or retrieve a telephone line call from any extension within the system. Call Pickup Allows an extension user to pick up an audibly ringing call from different extension. Call Forwarding may affect the operation of this feature. Call Timer The displays will show the length of time each call has been active. Call Transfer Call can be answered at one extension, or by the automated attendant and transferred to a different destination. Call Waiting There are two types of Call Waiting, internal (extension to extension) and external Telephone (Trunk) Line (may require a subscription from your telephone line provider). In both cases, the user, while on a call, will receive a special beep tone indicating that a second caller is trying to contact them. Call Waiting Caller ID If this telephone line provider feature is enabled, the X16 will receive Call Waiting Caller ID, which allows the user to see who is calling while on a call. The extension user may use the flash command switch between calls. Caller ID All XBLUE Networks telephone systems should, if the telephone line feature is enabled, received Caller ID, both name and number. The caller ID is stored in a Call Log that allows the user to review received calls. 11

Calling Party Identification (Extension to Extension) When one extension calls another extension, the calling extensions, name if programmed, and number will be displayed in the receiving extensions display. Central Office (Telephone Line) Appearance See Telephone Line (Trunk) Appearance Page 23 Central Office (Telephone Line) - Flash See Centrex Compatibility Page 12 Central Office (Telephone Line) Line Groups See Telephone Line (Trunk) Line Groups Page 24 Central Office (Telephone Line) Line Name See Telephone Line (Trunk) Line Name Page 24 Central Office (Telephone Line) Line Types See Telephone Line (Trunk) Line Types Page 24 Centrex Compatibility This feature allows a system to issue a Hook Flash command while connected to a Telephone Line. This feature is a requirement when using call waiting, three way calling or when a system is installed behind Centrex or a PBX system. Class of Service The X- 50 system provides different classes of service, which are assigned to an individual or a group of extensions and defines their dialing privileges. Extension The X- 50 has eight day and eight night Classes of Service, which are used to define dialing privileges. The dialing privileges can be customized so that the day and night Classes of Service can be the same or different. It is common to have extensions to have unrestricted dialing privileges during the day and local calling only at night. 12

Conference (3 Party) Telephone System Up to three parties, 3 internal, 2 internal 1 external or 1 internal 2 external, can be conferenced, join together, in a single conference call. Conference (Express) The X16 system has a unique feature, which allows a user to press the Telephone (Trunk) Line button that they are on and have one additional extension join in on the conversation. Custom Call Routing (Single Digit Dialing) The X- 50 has 10 Custom Call Routing, often called Single Digit Dialing Menus that can be customized by the system administrator. For example, press 1 for sales, 2 for support, etc. Department (Virtual) Mailboxes A department (virtual) mailbox is a programmable location that allows users without a physical extension to have a mailbox on the system and can be programmed on one or more telephone extensions. Once programmed, this button will light the LED associated with the button, on all telephones with that button appearance, when new messages are delivered. The LED is extinguished once someone accesses the voice mailbox. Dial by Name The Dial by Name feature in the X- 50 allows a caller to use the letters on their telephone keypad to spell a user s name and be transferred to that extension. If there is more than one extension that matches the input, the caller will be presented with a list of choices. Direct Mailbox Transfer To transfer a caller directly to someone mailbox on the X16, a user will press their voicemail button, while on a telephone line call, and then dial the intended extension s number. The caller will hear the extension personal greeting. Direct Telephone (Trunk) Line Access Users may access a telephone line by pressing a preprogrammed line button or dialing an access code. 13

Directory Dial (Recorded Message) Directory Dial is a recording of the company s telephone extension directory, which allows caller to dial the desired directory number while or after listening to the recorded message. Distinctive Ringing Telephone (Trunk) Lines Telephone (Trunk) Line can be programmed to have a distinctive ring tone, which helps users differentiate between ringing lines. Telephone (Trunk) Line distinctive ringing, overrides extension distinctive ringing. Extension Extension users may select between multiple ring tones to differentiate when their telephone is ringing from others in the area. Distribution Lists The X- 50 allows a user to record a single message and distribute it to multiple telephone extensions simultaneously. Do Not Disturb When Do Not Disturb is activated all internal and external calls are blocked from ringing that extension. The X- 50 has a special DND Call Forward which automatically forwards calls to a different destination when the extension is in DND. Dual Color LED s The X16 uses both blue and green high definition LED s. The X- 44 and X- 50 use only green high definition LED s E- Mail Delivery of Voice Mail Messages The X- 50 voice mail system has the ability to send a voice mail message to a users email address. The systems use Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) to send the voice mail message as a standard wav file, which can be reviewed by most multimedia Personal Computers and smart telephones. 14

End of Recording Alert The X- 50 Subscribers have a maximum recording length. Once this length is reached, the voice mail will play a maximum recorded length has been exceeded. This message will be played to all parties that are included in the conversation record. Envelope Information Envelope information is the statistical information that is attached to each message, which includes who sent the message such as an outside party the time and the date the message was sent. The system date and time is used to synchronize all envelope information, so it is important to make sure that the date and time is set correctly. Extension Alarm (See Alarm Page 6) Extension Record (See One Touch Record Page 19) External Call Forward (See Call Forward Page 9) External Paging (See Paging Page 19) FAX Detection Regular (PSTN) telephone lines connected to the X- 50 system have the ability to monitor, incoming calls that ring directly to the Auto Attendant, for FAX CNG tone. If the tone is heard, the call is transferred to the FXS (125 at default, marked Tel ) extension with a FAX connected. If no CNG tone is detected, the call is sent to the preprogrammed ring assignment. French Language Display Users on the X16 system can select one of three languages; English, French and Spanish. Hands Free Answerback In the X16 extensions are set for hands free answerback on intercom calls. This allows users to converse without pressing the speaker button or lifting the handset. 15

Headset Compatibility The telephones have been tested and found to be compatible with several different headsets. X16 telephones have a built in 2.55 mm (same as some cellular telephones). The X- 44 and X- 50 use a RJ9 (standard handset) connection for an external wired or wireless. Hold All telephone line calls may be placed on hold and can be accessed by any extension on the system. Holiday Greetings The administrator can program special Holiday Dates so that the system will play a special Holiday Greeting. Hot Dial Keypad (Dialing) XBLUE Networks telephones support hot dial keypad (on hook) dialing. This allows extension users to dial telephone numbers, internal or external, without lifting the handset or press the speaker button. Hot Line Extension users can be programmed to access specific extensions, Telephone (Trunk) Lines, or feature depending on the system, by going off hook on the handset or pressing the speakerphone button. Hunt Groups A Hunt group, sometimes called a UCD Group, is used to ring multiple extensions by dialing a single pilot number. Each hunt group can be programmed to ring all extensions at the same time or ring them individually as they become available. Interactive Display XBLUE Networks telephones have interactive displays, which interact with the soft buttons found below the display. These buttons are used to assist with feature operation and programming. Intercom Calling All telephones are assigned an extension number, which is used to call from one extension to another. 16

Internet Browser Programming The X- 50 and X- 44 can be programmed using Internet Explorer or some other Internet Browser. Last Number Redial (LNR) Last Number Redial also known as Redial, is used to press one button or dial a code for quick access to the last number dialed from that extension. Least Cost Routing (Call Routing) Least cost routing is used to route or reroute dialed telephones. This can be very helpful when a caller is dialing a telephone number but does not know the most economical way to place a call. For example, you may want all long distance calls to go out over your SIP Trunks and your local calls over your PSTN lines. Therefore, the system can be programmed to evaluate the dialed numbers and reroute it to the most economical route. Line in Use Circuit (LIU) The LIU circuit gives a visual indication to all digital telephones in the system that a Telephone (Trunk) Line is off hook and being used by a single line telephone, which is installed in front of the system. Meet Me Page Meet me page allows an extension user to dial a code from any extension within the system and be connected to the person that just completed a page. Once the call is established the paging port is released, and the two parties will converse privately. Memo Recording The X16 system has a unique feature that allows a user to press their record button and record a conversation in their office. This also lets the user record a voice memo on the fly. In addition, when accessing a voice mailbox remotely, the user can record a memo that they can access when they get into the office. Menu Routing (Multiple Menus) Menu routing allows callers to dial a number connected to another Menu. Multiple menus are used to help callers be more specific for call processing. For example, For sales, press 1 the caller goes to menu2 (for Northeast Sales Press 1, Southeast Sales press 2,) etc. 17

Message Forwarding (Voicemail) Voicemail messages are occasionally sent to the wrong user or needs to be shared with a different user. Message forwarding allows these messages to be forward to a different user, with or without announcing the coming message, also known as a preamble. Message Reminder (Stutter Dial Tone) Stutter Dial Tone is heard when the user goes off hook and has a new message. Once the message is picked up the Stutter Dial Tone will automatically stop. Message Waiting Indication Message Waiting is a visual indication that the extension has a new message. Once the message is picked up the MWI will automatically go out. Message Waiting Indication (Single Line Telephone) Message waiting on single line ports is an audible stutter dial tone. When a single line device goes off hook, it will receive 3 seconds of stutter dial tone. Multiple Extensions per Mailbox The voice mail system will send a message waiting indication to more than one telephone. The X- 50 uses Virtual Mailboxes which can be programmed on a button to allow one or more extensions to have access to a mailbox. Music- On- Hold (MOH) Music- on- Hold will play music to any caller that is placed on hold. Mute Internal MOH The X16, X- 44 and X- 50 systems come standard with internal music on hold. The X16 has a simulated music tone that cannot be changed but you can connect an external device. Just upload a file to the X- 44 and X- 50 to change the MOH. External MOH The X16 has the ability to use an external MOH port, which will accept an ancillary MOH device, such as an MP3 player. Pressing the Mute button to temporally disable the transmit function of the handset or speakerphone. It may not work with headsets be sure to test this function. 18

Mutual Mailbox Buttons (Virtual Mailbox) The X- 50 telephone system has the ability to program telephones with multiple mailbox appearances of any virtual mailbox. Once programmed, anyone with a mailbox appearance of one of the virtual mailboxes will get a visual indication that there is a new voice mail message. Navigation Keys The XBLUE speakerphones come equipped with cell phone like navigation keys, which can be used to scroll through features, lists and programming parameters. Night Service The X- 50 systems can operate in two modes; day service and night service. Night service can be used to change the extension s class of service. Each extension is assigned a day and a night class of service, which can be used to specify day and night dialing privileges. Thus, controlling the amount of unauthorized calls placed at night. Off- Hook Preference Also, known as Hot line, allows extensions to go off- hook on directly to a telephone line, line group or directly to intercom. One Touch Record One Touch Record allows extension users to on the fly record the current conversation. One Touch record is extremely helpful for remembering telephone numbers or addresses when a pen and paper are not readily available. The recording is placed in the user s personal mailbox so that they may listen at a more convenient time. It is important to notify everyone when you are recording a live conversation. Open & Close Schedule The voice mail system can be programmed to play a specific day or night greeting, depending on the time of the day. Some systems allow you to record a special weekend greeting as well. Operator Extension (Programmable) Any Extension can be programmed as the operator extension. Paging There are three types of paging, Internal, External and All call. At default, all extension can receive a Page. 19

All Call Paging When doing an all call page, all internal, idle telephones will hear the page. External Paging External paging can be connected to the X16 and the X- 50 using a spare telephone line port. Once connected, the user can press the telephone line button to activate the paging. Internal Page Groups An extension in the X- 50 can be in one or more of the three paging groups, which are accessed by dialing the page group. Only idle extensions, within the grouip, will receive the page. Paging Allow/Deny Users may dial a code to temporarily block one- way pages (group and all page) to their extension. Phantom (Virtual) Mailbox A phantom mailbox is a mailbox that does not have a physical telephone associated with it, which can be very helpful with personnel that are not physically located at the office but need to receive voice mail messages. Phonebook There are two types of phonebooks, Personal, which is private for each telephone extension and public, which can be, shared with all telephone extension users. Personal Phonebook Each extension user in the X16, X- 44 and X- 50 has a personal phonebook that they can program at their extension for their personal use. These numbers can be imported through Caller ID (X16 only) or manually using the telephone or web browser (X- 44 and X- 50 only). Public Phonebook The X- 44 and X- 50 allows the administrator to, using a centrally located file, import numbers using a CSV file, to all of the extensions on the system. 20

Playback, Skip, Save and Forward of Messages Voicemail messages can be picked up from on site or remotely. Once accessed, the subscriber can choose to listen to a message, Skip (X16 and X- 50), save the message for access at a later time or forward the message (X- 50) to another subscriber for action. Power Over the Ethernet (POE) The X- 44 and X- 50 both supports 802.3af POE and will automatically switch from POE and the included Power adapter. Privacy / Privacy Release All calls within the system are considered private. The X16 can release the privacy and allow other extensions to join in on an active call. Programmable Button Assignment XBLUE Networks telephones have both Fixed and Programmable buttons. Fixed button are buttons that cannot be changed. Programmable buttons, X- 44 requires a 24- button sidecar, can be programmed by the user to be a feature, extension or speed bin. Programmable Ring Assignment Incoming Telephone (Trunk) Lines can be programmed to ring an extension, group of extensions or directly to the Automated Attendant. Record Auto Record All Call X16 telephones can be programmed to automatically record all telephone line calls. Record One Touch (See One Touch Record Page 19) Redial (See Last Number Redial (LNR) Page 17) Remote Administration The X- 44 and X- 50 can be programmed using a standard Internet browser such as Windows Internet Explorer. 21

Remote Changing of Operations Mode The voicemail administrator can change the operational mode of the voicemail. This is especially helpful when the weather is bad and you want to play a special message. This overrides the programmed time schedule and will play the specified message until the system is placed back into normal operational mode. Single Digit Dialing (Custom Call Routing) Menus The voice mail system allows callers to dial a single digit and be transferred to a preprogrammed destination, or another Call Routing Menu. (Also See, Custom Call Routing (Single Digit Dialing) Page 13) Soft Key The interactive soft keys are found directly under the display, of the XBLUE Networks telephones, changes depending on the state (on hook, off hook, intercom call, Telephone (Trunk) Line Call etc.) of the telephone. As the state of the telephone changes, the display updates to indicate the new function for the Soft keys. Spanish Language Display Users on the X16 system can select one of three languages; English, French and Spanish. Speakerphone All XBLUE Networks telephones are high quality speakerphones. The X- 44 and X- 50 are full duplex, meaning that they can send and receive voice transmission simultaneously. 22

Speed Dial Telephone System Speed Dial Bins can store a long sequence of numbers and are used by dialing an easy to remember feature code or pressing a preprogrammed button. There are two types of speed bins or phonebooks; system which allows everyone in the system to have access to the stored number and Personal which are only available by the extension that programmed the number. Personal A personal speed bin can only be access by the user that stores the number and it can be programmed on (X16 and X- 50) an available Programmable Button. System System speed bins can be accessed by anyone in the system and are used to store numbers that are frequently dialed by multiple people. Once a system speed bin is programmed it can be placed under an available button on any extension in the system. By pressing this preprogrammed button, an extension user will dial the programmed number. Station Lock/Unlock Using an extension s password, users can lock their telephones. This helps reduce unauthorized users from using an extension that may have an unrestricted toll restriction. It should be noted that the extension locked feature also locks users from dialing 911! SMDR Station Message Detail Recording can be set up to store inbound and outbound call information for extension users in the X- 50. This list can be copied and pasted into a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel. System and User Passwords Programming access to the system is limited by the password entered. The system or Administration password gives the user total access, where the User or Phone password limits what can be programmed. Telephone Line (Trunk) Appearance Telephone lines are, or can be, programmed on one or more telephones. The Telephone Line buttons on the X16 and X- 44 are fixed and will appear on all telephones. 23

Telephone Line (Trunk) - Flash (See Centrex Compatibility Page 12) Telephone Line (Trunk) Line Groups Telephone (Trunk) Line groups are used to assign specific Telephone (Trunk) Lines into a group for like dialing permissions. Line Groups may be programmed on an unused programmable button. Telephone Line (Trunk) Line Name Telephone (Trunk) Lines in the X- 50 can be program to display a name, such as Line 1, or the name of the business, rather than the line numbers. Telephone Line (Trunk) Line Types The X16 only uses standard telephone lines known as Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) or Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) Lines. The X- 44 uses only VoIP (SIP) Telephone (Trunk) Lines, and the X- 50 can use both PSTN and SIP telephone lines. Temporary Greeting The X- 50 has a special greeting that can be recorded but only activated when it is needed. This is especially helpful in climate zones that can experience inclement weather forcing the office to close unexpectedly. Time and Date Extensions display the current time and date, which in the X16, is synchronized with the telephone line providers caller ID information when it is received. The X- 44 and X- 50 synchronizes using NTP. Time and Date Stamp (Envelope Information) Envelope information is the statistical information that is attached to each message, which includes who sent the message such as an outside party the time and the date the message was sent. The system date and time is used to synchronize all envelope information, so it is important to make sure that the date and time is set correctly Time Sensitive System Greetings The voice mail system can be programmed to play a day or night greeting based off the time of day. 24

Toll Restriction Telephone System The X- 50 provides a sophisticated monitoring of digits dialed on Telephone (Trunk) Lines. Each extension is assigned a Class of Service which is used for a broader range of call control, then simple toll restriction implies. If a Digit or range of digits is dialed on a Telephone (Trunk) Line, which is inconsistent with the dialing extension s privileges, as defined in their class of service the call will be denied. Only the X- 50 has the ability to do toll restriction. Traveling Class of Service Each telephone user is assigned a password, which can be used to bring their class of service to a telephone with a more restrictive class of service. This is very helpful when managers are walking around and need to make a call. UCD Uniform Call Distribution UCD is a flexible function of the X- 50 system. Simply stated, UCD grouping allows system resources, primarily extensions, to be linked for call handling. There are 4 UCD groups and each group has a lead or pilot number, which is the access point of the UCD group. There are three types of UCD groups, linear, distributed and all ring. Linear Calls sent to UCD group marked as linear will ring the extension that is programmed in the first position within the UCD group. If there is no answer or that extension is busy, the caller is sent to the next agent. Distributed Calls and sent to a UCD group marked as distributive are routed to the group members in a uniform distribution fashion. Therefore, the agent that has been on- hook and idle the longest will receive the next call. All Ring Calls that are sent to a UCD group marked as all ring rings all members within the group simultaneously. UCD Agent Logoff / Logon Agents can dial a code to be temporarily taken out of the group. Once out of the group the agent does not receive any incoming calls. This can be very helpful when an agent is out of the office or out to lunch. 25

UCD Reroute (Overflow Destination) All four UCD groups in the X- 50 have the ability to redirect an unanswered call to a mailbox, an Auto Attendant Message, or a specific extension. Variable Extension Length The extension length is the number of digits that are required to dial an extension on the telephone system and it indicates how many digits will be dialed from the Automated Attendant. The X- 50 allows this length to be 2, 3 or 4 digits in length. Variable Mailbox Length This value is the number of digits in a mailbox number. In the X- 50, the default is three digits but can be set from 2 to 4 digits and must match the telephone extension numbers. Virtual Extensions The X- 50 has 40 Virtual or Phantom Extensions (Mailboxes) which are used as alternative ringing locations, for personnel that require a mailbox but not a physical telephone on the system. Voice Mail Button (Dedicated) The telephones on the X- 44 and X- 50 have a dedicated voice mail button with an envelope ICON. When pressed it will automatically connects to the voice mail system and asks the user to enter their password (passcode). Voice Mail Standard The X16, X44 and the X- 50 systems come with a fully integrated voicemail system as a standard feature. Web Based Programming This allows the user to interact with their telephone extension using a Windows Internet Explorer. Weekend Schedule The Weekend Schedule is used to define the weekend start and weekend end times. The X16 has the ability to play a special weekend greeting. 26
