Specifications A. 107-24: Standard Packaging, Packing, Marking and izing Methods B. 107-205: Stretch Wrapping, Procedure for C. 107-216: AIAG Packaging Requirements 3. GENERAL PACKAGING Package in accordance with Packaging Specification 107-24 with the following exceptions: 4. DEFINITIONS 4.1. Mixed (Mixed Load) More than one part number on a pallet. 4.2. Brick When a pallet is stacked so that each layer is arranged in opposing directions to the layer below allowing corners to rest on side panels instead of corners resting on corners. See Figure 2. 4.3. Pin-Wheel A layer of 4 cartons where each carton is oriented 90 degrees with respect to the adjacent corner. Corresponding panels face outward on each of the 4 cartons. See Figure 3. 4.4. Blind Column The column in the center of the pallet that is not visible from the exterior pallet load. See Figure 4. 4.5. AIAG Labeled Carton A carton that requires a customer special label. 4.6. Regular Slotted Cartons (RSC) All flaps are the same depth and the two outer flaps are ½ the containers width so that they meet at the center of the box when folded. 4.7. Full Overlap Cartons (FOL) All flaps are the same depth and their depth equals the width of the box. When closed, the outer flaps come within one inch of complete overlap. 4.8. Pyramid A pallet that does not have a flat top. PALLETIZATION ize pallet loads as near as possible to the heights indicated on the following chart using the following pallets. NOTE All pallets must be ISPM compliant. NOTE s must be palletized per palletization graphic map printed on box top panels. Shipment must be prepared to desired transportation mod. Maximum Acceptable (+1.) Part Number Description To Be Used For Land Ocean 999691-1 AIAG 48" x 45" 4 Way Product cartons & single or dual column reeled shipments 999689-1 AIAG 30" X 32" 4 Way Product cartons & single column reeled shipments 33" 3X Triple 999692-1 NON-AIAG 48" x 48" 2 Way Multiple columns of reeled product shipments Use For Reeled Product Only Maximum Acceptable (+1.) Recycled Supplier Part Number Description To Be Used For Land Ocean 1502777-1 AIAG 1502777-2 AIAG 45" x 48" 48" x 45" Product cartons & single or dual column reeled shipments 1502777-3 AIAG 1502777-4 AIAG 32" X 30" 30" x 32" Product cartons & single column reeled shipments 33" 3X Triple 1502777-5 NON-AIAG 48" x 48" Multiple columns of reeled product shipments Use For Reeled Product Only Figure 1 Rev R 2 of 6

6.1. ing of multiple pallets is permissible to achieve the preferred overall ed column height as indicated in Figure 1 and printed palletization graphic mapping located on top box panels. 6.2. In all cases; the supporting lower pallet must be FLAT on top before pallets can be stacked per pallet stack-ability mapping in above Figure 1. 6.3. Pyramiding shall be acceptable for MIXED LOAD PALLETS ONLY where Flat Top Loading is not physically possible/feasible. Only one un-cubed mixed load pallet is acceptable per customer ship-to location. 6.4. Brick stacking of cartons on pallets shall not be permitted, unless integrity of load is compromised. Pinwheeling column stacking palletization pattern is permissible wherever carton sizes dictate. See Figure 2. 6.5. Pin-wheeling palletization pattern is permissible wherever carton sizes dictate to eliminate carton overhang. Cartons must still be stacked in columns. See Figure 3. 6.6. Blind columns should be avoided. Where possible, fill center void with spacer sleeves PN 999990-2 (14.00" x 12.00") or PN 999990-1 (6.00" x 4.00") or smaller pallet PN 999689-1 (32 x 30) may be used. Least desired option is to fill void with cartons marked EMPTY. See Figure 4. 6.7. When palletizing AIAG labeled cartons, the cartons shall be loaded onto pallet with a minimum of (1) one AIAG label viewable from the exterior pallet load. See Figure 3. 6.8. Cartons with palletization graphics shall be palletized in accordance with printed carton graphics and Packaging Specification 107-216. 6.9. No cartons shall overhang edges of pallet. See Figure 8. 6.10. When palletizing cartons onto pallet, care must be taken to neatly align all cartons within each carton column so stacking strength is not compromised. (Carton sidewalls must be vertically aligned in each carton column). See Figures 3 and 6. 6.11. All Regular Slotted Containers (RSC) shall be stacked on pallet horizontally with cartons bottom panel facing down, top panel facing up. They may not be placed on pallet vertically (top panel, end panels or side panels facing down). 6.12. When palletizing reeled product in Full Overlap (FOL) cartons, the cartons shall be laid flat on one of their two largest side panels on top of the pallets surface and each subsequent carton. Reeled product packaged in RSC style cartons shall be oriented with bottom panel facing down, top panel facing up. See Figure 7. 6.13. When palletizing reeled product onto the 48" x 48" pallet, pin-wheeling the columns is permissible to eliminate carton overhang. Each individual carton within a column shall be oriented in the same orientation. Each carton column shall be rotated 90 degrees to the previously placed carton column. Carton sidewalls must be vertically aligned in each carton column. See Figure 7. 6.14. loads shall be secured via use of stretch film in accordance with Packaging Specification 107-205. 6.15.
