IU is committed to helping you achieve your goals. Every year, IU awards millions of dollars in scholarships to hard-working and talented students to make their college dreams possible. IU Achievement Scholarships IU Achievement Scholarships are awarded to students based on high academic performance. To be considered for these scholarships, submit a complete application for admission (including official test scores and transcript) by November 1; no additional application is required. Provost s Scholarship Four-year renewable scholarship for Indiana residents Award amounts range from $1,000 to $8,000 per year Dean s Scholarship Four-year renewable scholarship for out-of-state residents Award amounts range from $1,000 to $11,000 per year IU Achievement Scholarship award notifications are mailed approximately two to four weeks after admission letters. Selective Scholarships All students who submit a complete application for admission (including official test scores and transcript) by November 1 are considered for Selective Scholarship Application (SSA) eligibility. For more details and a complete list of the departments participating in the SSA process, please visit go.iu.edu/selectivescholarships. Additional Scholarship Opportunities Be sure to check for additional scholarship opportunities at scholarships.indiana.edu. IMPORTANT DATES November 1 Submit a complete application for admission (including official test scores and transcript) by November 1 to be considered for IU Achievement and Selective Scholarships. January 1 The FAFSA form is available. $31,000,000+ In 2013-2014, IU awarded more than $31M in institutional grants and scholarships to beginning students. Get in the Game Maximize Your Financial Aid Step 1 Submit a complete application for admission (including official test scores and transcript) by November 1. Step 2 Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov. The FAFSA is your ticket to federal, state, and institutional aid. The FAFSA is available on January 1 and you must submit your FAFSA by March 10 to be considered on time. You ll need to complete a FAFSA each year to apply for financial aid. Step 3 By mid-march, you should receive a financial aid award letter that details your eligibility for different types of financial aid. Review this award letter carefully and follow the instructions to accept, reduce, or decline any awards. Step 4 Stay connected! Be sure to monitor your IU email account and your One.IU To Do List as the Office of Student Financial Assistance may need additional information from you to finalize your awards. Respond quickly to any requests for information to avoid delays with your financial aid.

January 15 Students who meet the November 1 scholarship deadline may submit updated SAT and/or ACT scores until January 15 for additional scholarship consideration. March 10 The priority date to file the FAFSA. How Much Does IU Bloomington Cost? Most courses are 3 credit hours. *Actual costs vary, based on student choice, travel habits, and academic program. An Indiana University degree may be more attainable than you realize. Our Student Central advisors will work with you to create personalized strategies to help you save money, explain payment options, and expand your knowledge of student loans so you can borrow less. There are easy ways you can lessen the financial burden of college and stay on track to graduate in four years or less. For example, work closely with your academic advisor to make sure your classes fulfill the requirements of your major, find a part-time job, purchase used books or try e-books, stick with a prepaid meal plan, and take advantage of the free entertainment and other activities offered on campus.
