o SA1 + SA2 SA PLAN The Summative Assessment comprises of theory paper as per the prescribed design of Question Paper based on the syllabus covered to check whether there is sufficient knowledge about any area of study. This paper covers a sample of the entire course and is divided into difficult and easy questions. English-SA comprises ASL IX SA2-OTBA is included (all subjects except Arabic and Malayalam) 10 marks

o CLASS WORK/HOME WORK (10 marks) CRITERIA FOR ASSESSMENT REGULARITY INDEX / PRESENTATION NEATNESS ACCURACY / COMPLETION CORRECTION WORK DONE CORRECTION WORK (CLASS WORK, HOME WORK, RECORD, WORKSHEET ETC.,) will be done once in a week. CORRECTION OF NOTE BOOKS - once in two weeks is mandatory

WRITTEN TEST (20 marks) Duration 1 period (First period) QUESTION PAPERS - Two sets of equal difficulty level question papers will be prepared by changing the sequence and introducing 10% different questions by the subject teachers While administering precaution will be taken so that the child should not get the same set for all subjects For absentee students teacher will conduct the test again if it is feasible.

ENGLISH Weaving A Story: FA1 ACTIVITY Procedure Students will be informed one week in advance. Students will be divided into groups of six to eight Each group will be asked to choose a topic They are asked to develop a story related to the topic and picture in thirty minutes Then each group will tell the story to the whole class. Each student will speak a part of it.

ENGLISH Poetry Writing: FA2 Procedure Students will be asked to write a poem in about 12-20 lines on a given theme. They will be reminded about the various poetic devices taught and advised to apply them. Apply creativity and imagination, and compose the poem. Be original.

Procedure ENGLISH Book Review : FA3 ACTIVITY The students will be asked to read a book of a specific author or a genre mentioned. Advance information will be given before summer vacations. The book should be read at their own leisure. Take note of main events, characters, important statements and dialogues etc. understand the underlying message,if any. Then follow the format given by the teacher and complete the book review. Cover page carrying an illustration Introduction which includes name of book, author, publisher & date of publication Brief Summary Critical Assessment depicting theme and message Character sketch Opinion and Recommendation

ENGLISH Radio Show : FA4 ACTIVITY Periods required: 3 Total Marks : 10 Rubrics & Marks allotted: Style and Creativity - 5 Enunciation - 2 Presentation & Content - 3

ENGLISH Radio Show : FA4 ACTIVITY Procedure: The students work in groups of six to eight. The students prepare a script for presenting a radio programme five days in advance. The radio show must have a radio jockey. There should be an interview session with a famous personality, as well as fillers (e.g. jokes, advertisements, jingles, songs/music). The team will be given 10 minutes to present their show. Each team has to adhere to the time limit and meet the deadline. At the end of three sessions, the class indicates which performance they liked best and why. Teacher gives her feed back too.

ENGLISH ASL ASL: Assessment of Speaking and Listening Skills (ASL) will be conducted to focus on the communicative aspects of language learning. The grade scored in the ASL in English will be a part of the Summative Assessments I and II (70+20) and will be reflected as an aggregate grade in the Performance Profile. It will be conducted twice: Before SA1 & Before SA2. Best of ASL will be added to SA1 & SA2.

It is pre-prepared on the topic prescribed by the Board Problem Solving Phase: A card with a problem solving task will be given. Students have to discuss and suggest solutions(2 min)

Teacher will divide students into groups. Each group will come forward and perform the activity. Evaluation will be done as per the given criteria Subject matter- 3 marks, Presentation - 3 marks,completion-2 marks, Language - 2 marks.

HINDI Poster Nirman Slogan Sahit : FA2 Activity X Duration : 1 Period Marks : 10 This is an individual Activity. Students will be informed about the activity one day prior. On a sheet of a paper students will make Poster and write slogan accordingly. Evaluation will be done as per the given criteria. Subject matter - 3 marks, Presentation - 3 marks, Completion - 2 marks, Language - 2 marks

HINDI Doha Gaayan : FA3 Activity IX Duration : 2 Periods Marks : 10 Students will be informed about the activity one week prior. Each student will prepare five dohas of Rahim or Kabir. Students will come forward one by one and will recite Dohas. Evaluation will be done based on the individual performance. Reference & context - 2 marks, Expression - 2 marks, Voice Modulation-2 marks, Completion of Dohas - 2 marks, language- 2 marks

HINDI Duration : 3 Periods Marks : 10 Ghatna Varnanan : FA3 Activity X Students will be informed about the activity one week prior. Students will come forward one by one and speak about the incident. Evaluation will be done based on the individual performance of the students. Evaluation will be done as per the given criteria. Reference & context - 2 marks, Expression - 2 marks, Voice modulation- 2 marks, Completion of Poem -2 marks, language- 2 marks.

HINDI Sandhi Adharit Varg Paheli (Crossword) : FA4 Activity IX Duration : 1 Period Marks : 10 Students will be informed about the activity one day before. Worksheet with crossword puzzle will be given to the students. They have to find Sandhi words in crossword and write on the same sheet. Students will be given 30 minutes to complete the activity. Each correct answer carries one mark.

HINDI Sandhi Adharit Varg Paheli (Crossword) : FA4 Activity X Duration : 1 Period Marks : 10 Students will be informed about the activity one day before. Worksheet with crossword puzzle will be given to the students. They have to find Samas words in crossword and write on the same sheet. Students will be given 30 minutes to complete the activity. Each correct answer carries one mark.

ARABIC Sentence Making : FA1 Activity IX & X Duration : 1 Period Marks:10 Teacher will prepare two sets of question papers consisting ten Arabic words based on the syllabus Each students will make ten Arabic sentences of their own using the words given.

ARABIC Conversational Arabic: FA2 Activity IX Duration : 4 Periods Marks:10 Two or more than two students will select a topic for Arabic conversation. Each student should speak at least five sentences in Arabic. Content -5marks, Fluency-2 marks, Expression-3marks

ARABIC Speech: FA Activity X & IX Duration : 4 Periods Marks:10 Two topics will be given to the students before hand, based on the syllabus. Each student will choose a topic and speak at least ten sentences related to that topic. Content -6 marks, Fluency -2 marks, Clarity -2 marks

ARABIC Singular/Plural : FA3 Activity X Duration : 1 Period Marks:10 Teacher will prepare two sets of question papers consisting ten singular and ten plural nouns based on the syllabus. Each student will change the given plural nouns to singular and singular nouns to plural.

ARABIC Paragraph Writing: FA4 Activity IX Duration : 1 Period Marks:10 Two Common topic will be given to the students before hand Each student has to choose one topic and write at least twelve sentences on that topic Content -6 marks, Spelling -2 marks, Creativity -2 marks

ARABIC TRANSLATION : FA4 Activity X Duration : 1 Period Marks:10 Teacher will prepare two sets of question papers consisting fifteen sentences in English and five sentences in Arabic based on the syllabus Each students will translate the English sentences into Arabic and vice versa.
