The methods chosen are proposed by four companies, that work for voluntary market. Kyoto Protocol, CO2,.voluntary market, carbon offset. MASTER DEGREE THESIS Title Abstract Key words Awards ICT solutions for dematerialization in Italian Public Administration: evaluation of a case-study trough LCA methodology The case study shows an example of application of life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology to the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technology), analyzing a case of dematerialization in Italian Public Administration. The objective of this study is to apply the lifecycle approach to the two proposed scenarios (traditional and innovative) assessing the environmental impact and providing an opportunity to make a comparative analysis. The study was developed by the environmental section of DIIAR (Politecnico di Milano) and LCA & Ecodesign laboratory of ENEA, financed by the Emilia Romagna regional government. The software Simapro 7.1 and ArcGIS were used. Dematerialization, ICT, Sustainable Development, LCA, Carbon footprint 1 st placed for Si può fare di Più 2011 contest, Infomatics section, for Master Degree thesis concerning Sustainable Development, called by Fondazione Cogeme Onlus. 3 rd placed ex aequo, prize in memory of Luigi Pieraccioni 2011, Best Master Degree Thesis about: Studies and researches about Sustainable Development, called by ASFOR PUBLICATION LIST Publications in National journals Research reports International Journals (with peer review) Sala S., Mirabella N., 2011.
