Richard Diaz, founder diaz human performance LLC & The Natural Running Network has been on the cutting edge of sports performance training for the past two decades. Having consulted and performed VO2 max tests for athletes from novice to professional, his focus at dhp is two fold; to enhance mechanical efficiency and economical energetics to improve performance. His approach to heart rate specific training is born out of his many years working with athletes. Richard served as aerobic and anaerobic specialist for the LA Kings of the NHL and consults for the current light and middle weight boxing world champions. Over the past 5 years his focus has been directed towards running gait analysis and correction where in his lab at dhp he employs dynamic unweighting and neuralmuscular reeducation that produces remarkable results. His vision as founder of the Natural Running Network is to revolutionize recreational running and coaching. Blue Benadum Elite Long Distance Runner and Strength Specialist Is the director of coaching for The Natural Running Network. Winner of the Lake Tahoe Triple (3 marathons back to back over 3 days) completing each event in under 3 hours! He is renowned not only for his endurance but is also infamous for his unusual strength, performing 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats at the finish line! Blue has several marathon wins to his credit and has conducted countless running form clinics since the inception of the Natural Running Network and is responsible for coaching LA s Westiside. Blue is a certified Personal trainer and is actively training clients in mixed martial arts and boxing when he is not logging his 70+ weekly miles. A resident of Malibu California, among other sponosrships Blue serves as Running Ambassador for LuluLemon Dr. Steven Capobianco - author of the Power Taping Method for athletes is a certified sports chiropractic physician and exercise rehabilitation specialist who has developed a functionally oriented treatment system to address the injury and performance needs of the elite to weekend warrior athlete. His unique system of taping focuses on movement not muscle which addresses faulty dynamic movement patterns in the athletic population. He has trained athletes for over 15 years, completed his first marathon in 2006 and several Ironman events. Dr. Steve is also an avid cyclist, holds a B.A. and M.A. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and is also certified in Active Release and Graton Techniques. Matt Fitzgerald - author, athlete, and sports nutritionist has written or co authored over 19 books, including Racing Weight (more than 55,000 copies sold). Brain Training for Runners, Triathlete Magazines Complete Triathlon Book, 50/50 with Dean Karnazes and most recently Iron War. Matt writes feature articles for Competitor Triathlete, Inside Triathlon, Men s Fitness, Runners World. A certified sports nutritionist, Matt has served as a consultant to numerous sports nutrition companies, including Energy First, Healthy Directions, PacificHealth Labs, and Next Proteins. Having coached for Carmichael Training Systems in the early 2000s, Matt now serves as a Training Intelligence Specialist for PEAR Sports.

We will cover myofascial slings as they relate to taping, how to assess movement patterns in order to distinguish which sling to address, and how to pre-load and apply the tape in a functional manner. The Exam What you ll need to bring; be prepared to run and exercise, wear appropriate attire, bring a cover up in case of weather. You will need a heart rate monitor and a note pad and pen are recommended. Once you have registered, we will provide you an access code to our study guide. You are welcome to print this study guide and have it with you for reference. In order to gain certification you must participate in all of the sessions and successfully pass our exam. The practical portion of the exam weighs heavy on the outcome of your score.
