Conclusions Ultrasonic tool is by far the best way to check the internal condition of a pipeline. Quantitative sizing of depth of metal loss and remaining wall are obtainable as compared to magentic flux leakage tools. Most MFL tools are prone to errors and can pass through bends 1.5D. The 4 service line connecting Prezioso-Perla with changing wall thickness can be inspected using the InVista ultrasonic tool with 1D bend capabilities. services 23
