Middle School Math Assignment: How to Access IXL on a Computer or ipad Accessing IXL on a Computer: To log in to IXL you should go to the following site: www.ixl.com/signin/stmeshouston You will see this page: Enter your unique username and password and then click the green Sign In button. Student s usernames and passwords will be emailed directly to parents by Allie Johnson, Director of Technology, ajohnson@stmes.org. You will see this page:
Click on the blue word Math and you will see this page: Scroll to the grade you want and click on the heading. If you just finished 4th grade, click on Fourth- grade skills If you just finished 5th grade, click on Fifth- grade skills If you just finished 6th grade, click on Sixth- grade skills If you just finished 7th grade pre- Algebra, click on Eighth- grade skills, because we covered the material from both 7th and 8th grade in your pre- Algebra class. Skills are listed with a letter and number code. The letters go in alphabetical order. If your teacher asked you to practice skill D.4, scroll to D and then choose skill D.4. Go to the App Store, search for IXL, and download the free app.
Go to the home screen on an ipad and tap "Settings." Near the bottom of the menu on the left side of the screen, tap "IXL"
Enter stmeshouston in the "Custom sign- in" field on the right. Your custom sign- in will then be used automatically when signing in to the IXL app. You should not have to enter this information again on the same ipad.
Open the IXL app and enter your unique username and password and then click the green Sign In button. Student s usernames and passwords will be emailed directly to parents by Allie Johnson, Director of Technology, ajohnson@stmes.org. Usernames and passwords are the same for the IXL web version on a computer and for the IXL app on the ipad.
Checking IXL Progress: When logged in, click the Analytics button. Then make sure the Date Range selected is All Time. Now you can see the total number of hours completed!
