General Guide THE LIBRARY www.salford.ac.uk/library EndNote Online EndNote Online is a bibliographic management tool that allows you to save references for books, journal articles, websites and other sources into a personal account as you carry out your research. Because it is on the web you can access it anywhere you have internet access. You can then use EndNote to insert citations into your text, and create a bibliography (list of references) at the end of your assignment or dissertation, which will be automatically and correctly formatted in the APA 6th style required for most courses at Salford or any other style you want. For example, in Scopus: Mark the records you want, then click Export. Look for an option for either RIS or EndNote. Choose the information you want to save, e.g. Citations and Abstracts. Click the Export button. Click the Save button, select Save as, and save the file somewhere you will be able to find it, e.g. the Desktop. 6 [Dec15 Anne Sherwin]
The references will be imported into your EndNote Library. Click the link or the My References tab to see them. For advice about how to save references from other databases into EndNote Online please see the separate guide, EndNote Web - importing records from databases, available under the General tab at: http://www.salford.ac.uk/library/help/user-guides 7 [Dec15 Anne Sherwin]
