S T. L UKE C ATHOLIC C HURCH N OVEMBER 2014 T HE F INISHING T OUCHES C HURCH R ENOVATION W ISH L IST I TEMS They are to make a sanctuary for me, that I may dwell in their midst. Accordingly to all that I show you regarding the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of its furnishings, so you are to make it. Exodus 25:8-9

Beloved parishioners and friends, One of the most significant and formative experiences in the life of a parish church community is the process of building or renovating a church. Through your generosity, patience and love for God and our St. Luke church, we are close to completing the renovation project we started 10 months ago in the church. We are very proud of our church family for pulling together during the temporary period in our worship space and for making our prayer and worship time such a meaningful and holy experience. As we anticipate the completion of our beautiful new spiritual home, we now begin a new chapter as we prepare to relocate back into the church building. We are taking stock of our liturgical furnishings and other items that have become aged, antiquated and in some cases obsolete. As is done in situations, such as church renovations, we have developed a wish list of items to further the church s ministry. Each time someone s hope in Christ is formed or reawakened in our beautiful church, it will be because of the faith and sacrifices of our parishioners in bringing the vision of a renewed church to life. This booklet represents items that we are in great need of for the completion of the church building. This wish list is divided into two sections: List A and B. List A representing those items of greatest importance. We ask you to pray and seek God s guidance about donating toward a specific item on this St. Luke wish list or perhaps join in with a group of others toward a larger item. If you have questions about any of these wish list items, please contact the Pastoral Center at 254-773-1561. There are also smaller items that need to be replaced, such as liturgical vestments for the clergy and altar servers, altar linens, liturgical books and more. If you are interested in this wish list addendum, you may pick up a copy in the Pastoral Center. With sincere gratitude, we thank you for supporting the works and mission of our parish. God bless you for your continued support. In Christ Jesus, Rev. James Ekeocha
