1 Following your learners Track learner activity There are a lot of great tools built into Nokia Mobile that will help you help your learners. Activity reports are one example they allow you to track learner activity. When you are signed in you will see the homepage. On the left, you can find the Help, the FAQ and the list of available courses. On the right, you can find the Site navigation panel and other useful tools. Select Courses from the Site navigation panel and then select one from the list. Select Participants from the Navigation panel. 4 5 Select Activity reports > Complete report from the Navigation panel. Select the learner from the list. Note that you can use the Search box at the bottom to find your learner by name. You can see the learner s activity in each part of the course. For more information about the learner, you can also see the other reports under the Activity reports in the Navigation panel.
1 Compare learner activity Return to the front page by selecting Home from the Navigation panel. Compare learners and schools Compare your learners to get a good picture of how your learners are doing. You can also compare your school to others in the area. Select Reports from the Site navigation panel. Use the drop-down menus to select your school and to define the time period you are interested in, then click View. You will then be able to see at a glance how your learners are doing relative to each other. Select Compare learners. From here you can also Compare schools and get learner reports and school summaries. 4 You can go deeper into an individual learner s activity by clicking on his or her name, which will produce a graph of his or her activity in the course.
Increasing learner activity Access and engage You can activate your entire class with class messages. When you have selected all recipients, select Send a message from the drop-down menu at the bottom of the page. 4 Type in your message and select Preview to see how it looks. 1 Return to Home and this time choose Courses. Click Participants and Select the desired recipients. You can search for a learner by name as well - just enter the name in the Search field at the bottom of the page, then Select. Repeat to build your recipient list. 5 Then click Send message to send or Update to go back and make changes. Learners will receive your message the next time they sign in with their phone. You can also send a message to an individual learner by clicking on the learner s name and then selecting Send a message.
Incorporating Nokia Mobile into teaching Nokia Mobile can be used during lessons, outside of class (as homework) or even as the basis for a club that meets before or after school.
