Agency for HealthCare Administration Project Highlights: Since July 1, 2013, Florida Covering Kids & Families has distributed 1,875 Florida KidCare paper applications In-House distribution of Florida KidCare information/materials to community partners: 57,913. This includes materials distributed for Military Outreach. Back-To-School Coordinated Outreach There were ten media markets with Back-to-School events to coordinate during the 2013/2014 school year. From July 1 through September 30, 2012 there were a total of 493 events tracked statewide, an estimated 92% increase in local events tracked during the 2012/2013 BTS period. There were an additional 100 events hosted in June and October of 2013, reaching a grand total of 593 events tracked for the Back-to-School season. Back-to-School Media/Enrollment Events Florida Covering Kids & Families coordinated this year s campaign and to provide technical assistance to targeted areas across the state. News conferences and enrollment fairs were organized during August in four parts of the state: Orange, Miami-Dade, Pinellas, and the Treasure coast. Each event offered speeches by elected official community leaders, free giveaways for children, and Florida KidCare information, along with on-site program enrollment. 1,427 individuals were provided Florida KidCare education and information 80 completed Florida KidCare applications 11media stories were published or aired about the importance of adding Florida KidCare to children s back-to-school lists ( a 50% increase from the 2012/2013 BTS year)
