BNS - a SMART TRADE UNION -

What is BNS (Blocul National Sindical) BNS is a representative Romanian trade union confederation, with approximately 300 000 affiliated members. BNS members are employed in private sector companies, state owned companies and public institutions, in machine construction, transportation, local council-run services, construction and building materials, post and telecommunications, printing services, electronics, automation and defense industry, culture, energy, textile industry, health, public administration, agriculture, commerce, mining and geology, sports - BNS consists of 40 professional federations - BNS has entire country coverage by its 42 county branches - BNS has representatives in bipartite and tripartite social dialogue bodies at national, European and international level.

BNS - provider of expertise, implementation and management of public and private funded projects Projects written, implemented and managed by BNS address well-defined audience categories, such as trade unions and labor market actors with whom a confederation interacts. Targeted people - Regular employees (Romanian citizens or migrants working in Romania) - Persons seeking employment - Small farmers and people employed in agriculture - Youth - Women - People over 45 years

BNS - provider of expertise, implementation and management of public and private funded projects. Project portfolio Blocul Naţional Sindical (The National Trade Union Bloc) is the confederation with the broadest portfolio of European funded projects in Romania. Since 2006, before Romania joined the European Union, BNS began preparations in terms of human resources and logistics, to write and implement successfully European projects. The confederation has invested in a network of experts in writing and managing European projects by using TAIEX office resources (a network consisting of 200 young people) and when the financing lines for Romania opened, BNS was able to submit quality projects that have received funding. At central level BNS has a team of 40 managers, experts and administrative staff providing the central coordination of projects. At regional level, in addition to the 42 county branches, BNS has 16 offices in which 42 experts are supporting at local level the activities, providing advice and trade union service management, plus a body of specialists in writing, implementing and managing European funded projects.

Social business incubators for the Bucharest-Ilfov region (Approximate value: 400 000 euro) *** Promoting the concept of social economy and labor market integration of people from vulnerable groups (disabled people, people living with HIV AIDS, gypsies, people in extreme poverty, etc.)

Project portfolio BNS was and still is a partner in projects implemented by other organizations and institutions: - Vocational training center for the harmonization of the labor market supply and demand (implemented by Navalistul Free Trade Union, S.C. Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries) - training in occupations specific for the naval industry - Social security and vocational training for sportswomen and men (implemented by the Association of Amateur and Non-amateur Football Players) - advice and guidance for sportswomen and men at the end of career - Active involvement of trade unions in the labor market (implemented by BNS Constanta county branch) - training center specialized in IT and communication - Social partners active in the labor market - the most modern training center for the automotive industry in Romania - Initiatives of the social partners in the North East region (implemented by "Prometheus" Suceava Trade Union) - training center specialized in IT and communication - Equality in employment and workplace - information and awareness raising campaign to change social attitudes and stereotypes in employment and work (implemented by the University of Bucharest) - Lifeguards and divers for the Romanian economy (implemented by the National Association of Professional Divers and Lifeguards in Romania - national center for vocational training in two occupations - E-learning for social partners (implemented by the Association of Amateur and Non-amateur Football Players) - distance learning education platform deliver ing medium and superior level accredited courses in 150 specialties recognized at national and European level)

Database Each union member will receive an electronic identity that will be used to create an online profile in order to access the platform sections and to obtain products and services offered by third parties at low cost.
