Message from Dr Mohan Kaul, Director General Commonwealth Business Council CBC is pleased to announce its flagship Africa Investment Forum will be held in Dar es Salaam on 17th - 19th April in partnership with the Government of Tanzania and the East African Community. There is no doubt that the global economic crisis has taken its toll on all our economies. However, over the past decade, for the large majority of our countries, improvements have led to strong economic growth, averaging 5-7% in many African countries. We are now seeing improved relationships, where the private and public sector have been working together in a positive way for example through private public partnerships for infrastructure development. We are proud to be associated with these achievements. The 2011 Forum will focus on the theme Accelerating East African investment, linking Tanzania, the East African Community, Africa and the World. The Forum provides a platform to bring investors and projects together to showcase new opportunities, enhance African trade and investment, and to build new business partnerships. Doing Business at the Africa Investment Forum The Forum will feature a project portfolio of investment proposals that are looking for funding, equity or business partners in the region. The Project Exchange Centre will enable participants to meet with potential investors, investment bankers, and potential knowledge partners to present their projects.
