What is Bear Print & Print Express usq.edu.au/student-printing Bear Print and Print Express are easy to use web-based interfaces which help you take control of your printing needs anytime, anywhere. Bear Print is networked to a fleet of self-serve printers/copiers on all campuses. Print Express is available to print from the study desk or print your own file. Bear Print Print Express 24/7 total self-serve printing solution. Submit, pickup or have it posted. Submit files online through our web-based interface (anywhere from any computer with internet access). Pay and collect orders at printers/copiers located at Toowoomba, Springfield, Ipswich, Stanthorpe and Maryborough Hub campuses (see the list for the printer/copier locations on p.9). A4/A3 Colour and B/W printing available. Scan/Copying options available on printers/copiers. Order, pay and submit your file online through our Print Express web-based interface (anywhere with internet access). Collect orders at USQ Print Express on Toowoomba campus, or postal services available for the Springfield campus, Ipswich campus or direct to your door. A4/A3 Colour and B/W printing available. Bear Print Printing from a USQ networked computer: Choose print from within your application, then choose the bear printer (see instructions on Releasing your print job) Printing from a non-usq networked computer, or using your own computer on USQ wireless: 1. Go to usq.edu.au/student-printing and select Bear Print 2. Log in with Student ID and PIN Number. PIN numbers must be set prior to using Bear Print Submit. PIN can be set at USQ printers/copiers. (External students contact Print Express to set PIN 07 4631 2433). 3. Click Browse to find and attach file to be printed then click Upload 3
4. Click View to ensure the file is correct, then click Next 5. On the dropdown lists, choose colour or black and white, double sided or single sided, A4 or A3, number of copies, and collated or not, then click Next 6.Check the total cost and the details of your print job, then click Print 7. Select Print and your document is submitted to the print queue waiting for release. At your convenience proceed to closest student printer/copier (see location of printers). Print jobs are held for a limited time. 4
How to Release your Print Job or Copy: 1. Login (please choose either of the following ways to login) a. Student with Student ID Card Place card over panel b. Without Student ID card type in your Student Number (10 digits) The following list shows the prefix conversions: X = 000 U = 006 W= 005 D = 003 Q = 001 screen navigations e.g. if your student number is X1234567, you should type in 0001234567. 2. Type in your Pin Number If this is your first time printing, choose your own pin number. Remember to keep your pin number secure as the system requires both your student number and the pin to access to printing and copying. 3. Choose to either print your job, or choose to copy 4. If printing, select your job to print by using the release button or release all for all your print jobs 5. Press OK or Enter Button to release jobs 6. *Important Press CLR button to log out to protect your account Print Account All students who are currently enrolled will be allocated $50 into their Gift Account at the beginning of each semester. Gift Account funds will be cleared at the end of Semester 3 for that year. Additional credit can be added at the auto loader on campus, online or purchased from the USQ Bookshop. 5
To add credit to your print account Reload stations on campus Credit can also be added through self-serve reload stations by cash (notes or coins), eftpos or debit cards. There is one of these stations at Toowoomba, Ipswich and Springfield campus. Online 1. Go to usq.edu.au/student-printing and select Bear Print 2. Select Add Credit 6

Print Express How to submit a print job: 1. Save your file on USB, disk or the computer s desktop 2. Go to usq.edu.au/student-printing and select Print Express 3. Logon with your student ID & password 4. Choose Submit a simple job 10
5. Browse and attach your file 5a. If printing study material, please complete copyright requirements 6. Select your printing and binding requirements 7. Note your price on the right bottom corner 8. Go Next, complete form 9. Collect orders at USQ Print Express at Toowoomba Campus, or postal services available for the Springfield and Ipswich campuses or direct to your door. 10. Take note of payment options and order number before logging off. Payment is required prior to printing. It can be paid by credit card online, bear print account or by cash or eftpos at Print Express located at the USQ Bookshop at Toowoomba Campus.
