Piperdam Golf and Leisure Resort. Key Terms and Conditions. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE US and OURSELVES refer to PIPERDAM. We want all guests, to enjoy their holiday at Piperdam so that it is a memorable occasion. To that end there are certain pieces of information you need to be aware of so please read the following carefully as it is good advice and you will be asked when you arrive to sign that you agree and have read our Terms and Conditions. A CREDIT CARD MUST BE USED FOR THE GOOD HOUSEKEEPING DEPOSIT ON THE DAY OF CHECK IN BEFORE YOU BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY INSURANCE COVER We recommend that you obtain Insurance cover as we cannot be held responsible if you cancel your holiday no matter the reason. YOUR BOOKING AND PAYMENT A deposit of 150, ( Standard Rainbow, Osprey and Muirloch Exec) 250 ( Rainbow Exec) 300 ( Osprey Exec, Eagle, Forresters and Bungalow ) and 750 (Vegas) is required at the time of Booking. This is non returnable and at this stage you can pay the full amount of your lodge if you so wish. You will be required to pay the balance at least ten weeks before you arrive.( Call 01382 581374 to do this) If your booking is for Christmas or New Year we will require a further payment of 700 by the 1 st September for the Eagle, Forresters, Bungalow and Vegas and a further 150 for all other lodges. Documents will be sent by e.mail and we cannot be held responsible if you do not receive these unless it is caused by our negligence. A charge will be made if your documents are mailed in the post. Please check all the information and if any dates are wrong in relation to your arrival or departure then you must notify us within 7 days of the dated communication. It is your responsibility to pay your future monies on time. If this does not happen your booking could be cancelled and you will lose your deposit. CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING If you cancel your booking you will automatically lose your deposit. However if you pay the full amount and then cancel you will lose your deposit and omly if we manage to re let your lodge will you be refunded the difference between the deposit and the full amount. This will only happen if the lodge is re let. Cancellations must always be made via e.mail or in writing by the person who made the booking. We cannot take a cancellation via the telephone. CHANGING YOUR BOOKING If you wish to change your booking 10 weeks or more prior to your stay then an additional 75 administration fee will be charged to change your booking to another date. If you wish to change the booking less than 10 weeks before you are due to stay with us then this is classed as a Cancellation and the Cancelling your Booking conditions will apply.
THE PRICE OF YOUR LODGE INCLUDES complimentary use of our swimming pool, steam room, sauna and gym. If you have booked an Executive Lodge then you have complimentary use of a Hot Tub and Sauna. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE towels, cots or high chairs nor does it include any GO Active activities. GO ACTIVE ACTIVITIES. It is advisable to pre book your activities to avoid disappointment. All Activities are paid in full at the time of booking and the monies are non refundable unless cancelled by us. The activities in the main will be held in our Activity Centre or outside depending on the activity itself.. YOUR PARTY Children aged 18 months and over are counted within the maximum occupancy of your lodge. If you give false information in relation to the make up of your grouping then your booking will be cancelled and no refund will be given. We are a Family Park and therefore if your group consists of a single sex party we would ask you to contact us on 01382 581374 to discuss your numbers. IF YOU HAVE PETS You need to make sure that you booked a Pet Lodge. Pets are not allowed in any lodge with a hot tub or sauna and there are designated lodges for guests with pets. This is for the benefit of all our guests. You will be in breach of contract and will be charged 500 if you have a pet in a non pet lodge. WHEN YOU ARRIVE LODGE ALLOCATION You will have been given a lodge number for internal reference however your actual lodge number will not be allocated until you arrive. SECURITY DEPOSIT When you arrive and are checking in the Booker will be expected to have photographic ID and will be asked for a Credit Card where a Good Housekeeping Deposit of 150-500 will be held depending on the size of lodge. This transaction is pending and will automatically be returned to your account after you check out providing there is no damage or extra cleaning needing done. Your Credit Card is required to obtain the keys to your lodge and you or
whoever hands over their Credit Card is responsible for any damage or if the lodge needs an extra or deep clean. If there is any damage or your lodge needs extra cleaning then the cost of this will be with held from the security deposit given. Likewise in the unusual circumstances of requiring more money for any damage this will be taken from the card that you have handed over. Please note that by signing and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you are agreeing to this. ELECTRICITY CARDS are needed for some lodges. These can be purchased at Reception on your arrival or during your stay. Arrival Your accommodation will be available from 4pm onwards however you are welcome to use the facilities on the day of your arrival from 10.30 am onwards. Hot Tub Please note: You have Complimentary use of the Hot Tub when you book an Executive Lodge. We will endeavour to have your Hot Tub at an optimum temperature on the night of your arrival. At times this may not be possible due to maintenance, cleaning and fresh water being required before you arrive. Each morning your hot tub will be checked and chemically tested however it will not be refilled if there has been evidence of excessive misuse. The water levels will diminish if the Hot Tub is used by too many people at the one time. The Hot Tubs are only adequate for 2-6 people at any one time. ( see notice at Hot Tub area) Please do not touch the mode button on the Hot Tub as you will alter the settings which can reduce the temperature. REMEMBER USE THE HOT TUB RESPONSIBLY AND ALWAYS PUT THE LID BACK ON AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED USING IT! DURING YOUR STAY YOUR PARTY We have the right to obtain the name, age, address and gender of each member of your party if we suspect that you have not given us accurate information at the time of booking. The maximum number of guests in each accommodation unit must not be exceeded. If so they will be asked to leave.. BEHAVIOUR The booker is responsible for the behaviour of all members in his/her group. 1. WASTE MANAGEMENT Reduce, Reuse, Recycle RE CYCLING OF YOUR WASTE. We have a recycling area on site ( located at the top of the Car Park) for glass (green, brown and clear), Mixed Recycling (paper, cardboard and cans), Food and General Waste ( waste food, left over food, residual materials, sweepings). ALL FOOD WASTE MUST GO INTO SEE THROUGH BAGS BEFORE BEING PUT INTO THE BIN AT THE RECYCLING POINT. Guests staying in our holiday lodges will find a recycling note pinned up in the lodge to encourage and remind them to reduce the amount of waste produce.
Please make sure that you dispose of your waste, rubbish and bottles at the recycling point because if there is any waste left at the lodge or outside the lodge there will be a charge made against your Good Housekeeping Deposit.. Offensive, illegal and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. If your behaviour is considered inappropriate you or any member of your party will be asked to leave and we will have no hesitation in calling the police. Our priority is always that of our guests and we will not tolerate any misbehaviour that causes harm or impairs the enjoyment of others. Bookers and their guests that are not family members must be aged 25 or over. WEDDINGS IN LODGES If you have chosen to be married in a lodge then you take responsibility for all your arrangements as Piperdam only conducts one Wedding on any one day and gives a commitment to the Bride and Groom who have chosen Piperdam as their venue. CHILDREN S SUPERVISION AND PARENT S RESPONSIBILITY You are responsible for the supervision of all members of your party under the age of 25. This is important in reference to children and their presence in all children s play areas, licensed bar, waterways and swimming pools. You must have the required ratio of adults in order that you can supervise your children safely. SWIMMING POOL. The pool does not have a lifeguard. It is the parent/carer s responsibility to supervise a young person in the pool. Children under 14 must be supervised at all times. GYM Users of the gym must be 16 or over. HOT TUBS AND SAUNA You must follow the instructions for both of these. Failure to do so will result in you having a poorer experience. If you fail to follow the proper guidelines a cost can be incurred if extra cleaning or maintenance is required. The hot tubs are tested every morning and if you have contaminated the tub through use of alcohol, spray tan or any other fluids you will be advised by our hot tub team. THE HOT TUBS ARE NOT TO BE USED AFTER 11PM. NO GLASS OR GLASS BOTTLES OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED IN THE AREA OF THE HOT TUB. IF WE FIND GLASS AROUND THE TUB WE WILL ASSUME GLASS IN THE TUB AND IF WE HAVE TO CLEAN THE TUB TO REMOVE GLASS THIS WILL RESULT IN A SUBSTANTIAL DEDUCTION FROM YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. LIKEWISE IF GUESTS USE FAKE TAN AND HAVE DISCOLOURED WATER THE WATER WILL NOT BE CHANGED. SMOKING No smoking is allowed in any lodge. If this is detected you will be charged 300. DEVELOPMENT Piperdam is continually growing and developing. We will do our utmost to minimise the disruption at all times. However there will be no compensation or refund in relation to development consisting of maintenance work being carried out. FORCE MAJEURE We cannot accept responsibility or pay compensation where the performance or prompt performance of the contract is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to force majeure. These may include any event which we could not, even, with all due care, foresee or avoid. These circumstances include any kind of destruction or damage ( which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm, weather damage, break in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife,
industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather, war or threat, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic and any similar situation beyond the owner s control CAR PARKING. You can park at your lodge however you must adhere to the car parking controls and follow the designated entrance and exit signs. 3 cars can park at the Bungalow, Vegas, Eagle and Forresters, 2 at the Osprey lodges and 1 at the Rainbow and the Muirloch. All other cars must be parked in the car park. WHEN YOU LEAVE DEPARTURE You are more than welcome to use the facilities within the resort on the day of your departure however you must vacate your lodge by 10.00am. Failure to do so may incur an additional charge, Lodge keys must be returned to Reception. If you lose a key you will be charged 25 for each key. If you find the key and return it you will be reimbursed. SECURITY DEPOSIT This is not held by Piperdam. The funds should be available to you and if not you should check with your bank. If you have been charged in any way for damage you will always be told about this. Should there be substantial damage of any sort we will contact you before we redeem any monies from your security deposit. Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully as you are asked to sign to say you agree with this. LOST PROPERTY Please check thoroughly that you haven t left anything behind. We take no responsibility for any item left unclaimed and cannot respond to assurances that certain items were left. Any item left behind must be uplifted within 10 days. We cannot post items.
