A. PRETREATMENT PROCESSES 1. ALKALINE SOAK CLEANERS EVER CLEANER and/or KLEANEX Systems Alkaline cleaners designed for soak cleaning of all kind of materials, for removing oil, grease, shop soil and wettable smuts. Various processes like spray or immersion cleaners, emulsifying or demulsifying processes for recycling as well as liquid or powder products are available. 2. ACID CLEANERS KLEANEX Systems Mixtures of wetting agents with or without inhibitor for pickling and acid cleaning of metals. Usage in combination with mineral acids. 3. ELECTROLYTIC CLEANERS KLEANEX Systems Alkaline cleaners designed for cathodic and/or anodic cleaning of metal surfaces. Both liquid or solid products are available. B. ZINC PLATING PROCESSES 1. CYANIDE ZINC PLATING UNIZINC CYZ 500 / CYZ 510 / CYZ 511 / CYZ 512 / CYZ 513 / CYZ 515 Liquid, non-aldehyde type brighteners for different applications. They produce bright and brilliant deposits on rack and barrel parts with excellent covering and throwing power. The additives could be used in low, medium and/or high cyanide plating solutions at temperatures up to 50 C. UNIZINC CYZ 5 1 9 Liquid addition agent to precipitate heavy metal impurities from cyanide zinc plating solutions. V. Kunz Rev 1.3 29.04.2005 2/9

2. ALKALINE NON-CYANIDE ZINC AND ZINC ALLOY PLATING UNIZINC NCZ 4 2 0 / UNIZINC NCZ 4 6 0 Processes for non-cyanide alkaline zinc plating in barrel and rack. They produce brilliant, ductile deposits with an excellent throwing and covering power and no blistering problems. They can be used at temperatures up to 35 C and/or 50 C. ZINFER 4 9 0 / ZINFER 5 9 0 Non-cyanide zinc iron processes for rack and barrel plating. They produce bright, ductile deposits with excellent metal distribution. In combination with our black or yellow chromates or trivalent passivations an excellent corrosion protection can be achieved. ZINCO AL 4 8 0 Non-cyanide zinc cobalt process for rack and barrel plating. This process produces brilliant, ductile deposits. In combination with our black or yellow chromates or trivalent passivations an excellent corrosion protection can be achieved. ZINNI AL 4 4 0 Non-cyanide zinc nickel process (5 9 %) for rack and barrel plating. This process produces brilliant, ductile deposits. In combination with our black or yellow chromates or trivalent passivations a very good corrosion protection can be achieved. ZINNI AL 4 5 0 Non-cyanide zinc nickel process (12 15 %) for rack and barrel plating. This process produces brilliant deposits. In combination with our black or yellow chromates or trivalent passivations an excellent corrosion protection can be achieved. ZINNI AC AF Acid ammonium-free zinc nickel process for rack and barrel plating. It produces mirror bright, ductile deposits. In combination with our black or yellow chromates or trivalent passivations an excellent corrosion protection can be achieved. 3. ACID ZINC PLATING UNIZINC ACZ 5 6 0 / UNIZINC ACZ 5 7 0 An outstanding process which produces full bright to brilliant active deposits from ammonium or potassium chloride zinc plating solutions. It exhibits excellent covering power and can be used over a wide range of zinc metal contents. Therefore it is well suited for both rack and barrel plating at temperatures up to 60 C. V. UNIZINC ACZ 8 8 0 An outstanding process producing full bright to brilliant active deposits from ammonium or potassium chloride zinc plating solutions. It exhibits excellent covering power and can be used over a wide range of zinc metal contents and therefore it is well suited for both rack and barrel plating. This process was developed for bathes with air agitation. C. POST-TREATMENT OF ZINC AND ZINC ALLOYS 1. BLUE / TRANSPARENT CHROMATES AND PASSIVATIONS UNIFIX ZN 3-1 3 L / ZN 3-1 4 L / ZN 3-1 5 L UNIFIX ZN 3-1 6 L / ZN 3-1 8 L / ZN 3-1 9 L Different trivalent blue passivations producing uniform blue deposits on barrel or rack parts plated in acid, cyanide or alkaline non-cyanide zinc plating solutions. Coatings are always blue without iridescent or spotty areas. They offer different corrosion protection, a long life time and can be replenished indefinitely. UNIFIX ZN 3-5 0 L Trivalent passivation without hexavalent chromium for barrel or rack parts plated in zinc solutions. UNIFIX ZN 5 L Liquid hexavalent blue chromate to be diluted with water obtaining clear, intensive blue colour chromate coatings on all kind of zinc plated parts. UNIFIX NI/FE 3 1 0 L / UNIFIX FE/NI 3 1 2 L Trivalent chrome based transparent passivations for zinc nickel or zinc iron deposits. UNIFIX NI 3 1 1 L Trivalent chrome based transparent passivation for zinc nickel deposits. 2. YELLOW CHROMATES UNIFIX ZN 3 1 L / UNIFIX ZN 3 2 L / UNIFIX ZN 3 7 L Liquid yellow chromates for different applications to be diluted with water obtaining yellow, iridescent chromate coatings which are very dense, ductile and cannot be wipped off, even when still wet, on all kind of zinc plated parts. UNIFIX CO 3 0 L A liquid yellow chromate especially for zinc cobalt. UNIFIX FE 3 1 L A liquid yellow chromate especially for zinc iron. UNIFIX NI 3 3 L A liquid yellow chromate especially for zinc nickel. 3. OLIVE CHROMATES UNIFIX ZN 4 0 L Four-component liquid chromate which will produce thick, scratch resistant, ductile, olive drab coloured chromate coatings on zinc plated parts. UNIFIX ZN 4 4 L Liquid olive chromate to be diluted with water obtaining olive chromate coatings which are very dense, ductile and cannot be wipped off, even when still wet, on all kind of zinc plated parts. One-component process. 4. BLACK CHROMATES AND PASSIVATIONS UNIFIX NI 2 0 / UNIFIX NI 2 1 L Silver-free, black chromates for dark black chromate films on zinc nickel deposits. UNIFIX NI 3 3 0 L / UNIFIX NI 3 3 1 L Trivalent chrome based black passivations for zinc nickel deposits. UNIFIX FE 3 2 4 L Trivalent, chrome based black passivation for zinc iron deposits. UNIFIX FE 2 3 L / UNIFIX FE 2 5 L Silver-free black chromates for dark black chromate films on zinc iron deposits. UNIFIX ZN 3 2 7 L Trivalent black passivation for alkaline non-cyanide zinc plated parts. V. Kunz Rev 1.3 29.04.2005 5/9

UNIFIX ZN 2 8 L A two part liquid chromate producing glossy black, ductile chromate coatings, when diluted with de-ionised water, showing excellent corrosion resistance on zinc plated parts. Long life time. Contains silver. 5. POST-TREATMENT OF CHROMATES UNIDIP COLOURS Fluid colourations in different shades and intensity for zinc plated parts. UNIDIP CH Chromate hardener which is used to obtain hard yellow and black chromate coatings offering increased corrosion protection and better handling. It is added to the rinse following the chromating step. UNILAC Dispersion used as last rinse for a clear protective organic film on yellow, olive or blue chromated parts. Good corrosion protection, easy handling. SEALER Inorganic/organic, transparent or coloured post dip treatments to increase the corrosion protection of plated zinc and zinc alloys. Will be applied by dip-spin, spray or dip method. The baking temperature is between 50 and 200 C. FRICTION ADDITIVE Emulsions for adjustment of friction coefficients of threaded parts. D. COPPER PLATING PROCESSES 1. CYANIDE AND NON-CYANIDE COPPER PLATING UNICOPPER CY 3 1 0 / UNICOPPER CY 3 1 5 Cyanide based bright copper processes producing bright deposits with excellent throwing power on all basic materials without current interruption. UNICOPPER NC 8 8 0 Non-cyanide based bright copper process which produces bright deposits with good adhesion. 2. ACID COPPER PLATING UNICOPPER AC 3 2 0 This process produces bright, fine-granular, ductile and elongation at break-resistant copper deposits with an excellent throwing power. It was specifically designed for printed circuits and similar applications. UNICOPPER AC 3 3 0 / UNICOPPER AC 3 4 0 N These processes contain water soluble addition agents for acid copper plating to produce brilliant, ductile deposits with excellent throwing power. These processes can be used for steel, zinc die castings and for "plating on plastics". UNICOPPER AC 3 8 0 This dye-free process containing water soluble addition agents for acid copper plating produces brilliant, ductile deposits with excellent throwing power. E. TIN PLATING PROCESSES STANYOL 6 1 0 Acid tin plating process to produce bright and corrosion resistant tin coatings on a variety of base metals such as copper, copper alloys, steel and steel alloys. Can be used in rack and barrel plating. STANYOL 6 2 0 Acid tin plating process to produce bright and corrosion resistant tin coatings on a variety of base metals such as copper, copper alloys, steel and steel alloys. Can be used in rack and barrel plating. The layers deposited feature excellent solderability, even after long storage time. STANYOL 6 5 0 Acid tin plating process to produce bright and corrosion resistant tin coatings on a variety of base metals such as copper, copper alloys, steel and steel alloys. F. BRASS PLATING PROCESSES UNIBRASS 7 1 0 / UNIBRASS 7 3 0 Brass powders which are used as a flash plating process over bright nickel or other suitable bright plate. Extremely wide range of temperature and concentration. UNIBRASS 7 2 0 A brass plating process which is producing bright, ductile deposits over a wide current density range with good throwing and covering power even if thicker layers are plated. Shade of brass colour can be varied. G. BRONZE PLATING PROCESSES UNIBRONZE 8 1 0 A cyanide bronze plating process producing brilliant, gold-coloured (14 k), ductile deposits with excellent levelling and high corrosion resistance. The alloy plated consists of 80 % copper, 15 % tin and 5 % zinc. The process can be used for rack and barrel plating and is used as substitute for nickel in the jewellery industry. UNIBRONZE 8 2 0 A cyanide bronze plating process producing brilliant, white-coloured, ductile deposits with excellent levelling and high corrosion resistance. The process can be used for rack and barrel plating and is used as substitute for nickel in the jewellery industry. UNIBRONZE 8 3 0 A cyanide bronze plating process producing brilliant, white-coloured, ductile deposits with excellent levelling and highly corrosion resistance. The process can be used for rackand barrel plating and is used as substitute for nickel in the jewellery industry. H. NICKEL PLATING PROCESSES ALLBRITE 2 3 2 Liquid purifier to remove metallic impurities from nickel solutions and additionally producing white deposits in the low current density. V. ALLBRITE LCD BOOSTER / ALLBRITE LCD BOOSTER 2 Additives to increase the throwing power in nickel bathes. Improving the low current density area enormously. ALLBRITE 2 2 0 / ALLBRITE 2 4 0 Sulphur-free semi-bright nickel processes for deposits with good levelling performance and excellent ductility. The columnar structure ensures a very good corrosion resistance. ALLBRITE 2 5 0 / 2 7 0 / 2 9 0 / 3 0 0 / 3 1 0 All processes produce fully bright, excellent levelled white nickel deposits by a very good throwing power. Depending on the process the additives can be used for air and mechanical agitation as well as for rack and/or barrel plating. I. CHROME PLATING PROCESSES CRODA 1 0 0 0 A two-component high efficiency bright chrome plating process with exceptional throwing power. CRODA I I I A trivalent bright chrome plating process with good throwing power. J. OTHER SPECIAL PROCESSES Other products and processes, e. g. strippers, phosphating, steel blackening, high efficiency zinc and zinc alloys, drying additives, temporary corrosion protectors for iron and steel, electropolishing for stainless steel, hard chrome etc. are available on request.
