The Strength of Synergy Many parasite control products contain more than one active ingredient, but almost universally, the ingredients act independently of each other, providing a simple cumulative effect. FlukeKill initiative 360 fluke control Liver fluke is a complex parasite, but its control is easily achieved where tailored control programmes are employed. The Flukekill programme, a Virbac initiative, guides farmers through treatment timing and product choice. The programme, which was designed with the assistance of Dr Joe Boray, one of the worlds leading authorities on liver fluke, aims to limit the economic impact of the liver fluke in a highly effective and sustainable way. The two key treatment timings in the Flukekill programme are autumn and spring, with an optional summer treatment(s) included where fluke infestation is high. utumn and summer treatments must control all three stages of the fluke (early immature, immature and adult).
