Programme
DEAR COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS, On behalf of the international and national organizing committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 10 th Central European Congress of Rheumatology (CECR) in Vienna, Austria. Rheumatologists and scientists interested in musculoskeletal diseases take the opportunity to participate in this biennial conference in one of the six organizing countries. Additional to the exchange of the most recent scientific and clinical developments, the observance of regional differences is one of the important aims of this conference. In a relaxed atmosphere, we like to encourage all of you, in particular young rheumatologists, to contribute to an active participation and cultural exchange with the hope for renewal of friendships, which are key to promote new collaborations and scientific activities. The story of CECR started 1996 in Piestany, and was followed by conferences in Warsaw (1998), Bratislava (2000), Baden (2002), Budapest (2004), Bled (2006), Prague (2008), Sopron (2010) and Krakow (2012). This year the congress will take place at the Tech Gate Vienna, which is centrally located with excellent traffic connections downtown. The city of Vienna needs little introduction and will guarantee a beautiful location, in particular during the festive Advent season. At Vienna`s scenic squares, you can expect vibrant and traditional Christmas markets, where the aroma of Christmas bakery and hot punch creates the famous Viennese Christmas atmosphere. In addition, we would like to invite you to the annual meeting of the Austrian Society of Rheumatology (ÖGR), which takes place prior to the CECR meeting at the same location, starting on the 4 th of December. We look forward to welcoming you and hope your stay will be enjoyable, informative and educational. With kind regards, Gabriele Eberl President of ÖGR 1
