RADIO CONTROLLED BATHROOM CLOCK ART.-NO. 41124 WEINBERGER We thank you for the purchase of this radio controlled bathroom clock. It has been designed and constructed using innovative components and techniques to enable the perfect display of the time by this device. This unit is also equipped with an indoor thermometer. Please read the instructions carefully to become familiar with the properties and functions, before you use the unit. For the start-up of this device you require: For the main unit: 1 x 1.5V, AA, LR06 alkaline batteries (not included) (1) Setting the movement automatically. Open the battery compartment by twisting the cover. Be careful to insert the battery (1.5 V AA LR06 battery) with the correct polarity (+/-), since a battery inserted in the wrong polarity can cause damage to the clockwork. Close the battery compartment again. Once the alkaline battery is installed properly, the movement (clock) automatically sets itself to 12 O clock and then receiving the signal, i.e. the second hand moves to 0 position follow by the hour and minute hand move to 12:00 position. When the hour hand, minute hand and the second move to 12:00 position, it starts to receive the radio signal. Once it has received the radio signal and processed it accordingly (which takes 3 to maximum 10 minutes), the movement (clock) automatically displays the correct time. We recommend that you do not put up or hang

up the movement/clock anywhere during this process. (2) To set the time manually Press and hold the SET button for 5 seconds to set the time((after clock finish the RCC reception) Press the SET button for 1 second to advance 1 minute Press the SET button for more than 1 second to auto advance the minute hand. Press the SET button is not pressed for 8 seconds, the movement (clock) is set. (3) Reset the movement (clock) Press the RESET button will reset the movement(clock) data The hour hand, minute hand and the second hand move to 12:00 position When the hour hand, minute hand and the second move to 12:00 position, it starts to receive the radio signal. (4) Force radio signal reception During normal operation, press the WAVE button for 3 seconds will force to receive the radio signal. The hour hand, minute hand and the second hand move to 12:00 position When the hour hand, minute hand and the second move to 12:00 position, it starts to receive the radio signal for 3-12 minutes. Once it has received the radio signal, and processed it accordingly, the movement (clock) automatically displays the correct time. If the time still has not set itself after 8 minutes, reception is faulty and it will resume the time before the force reception. (5) Receiving the radio control signal The radio-controlled movement (clock) will automatically receive the radio signal 4 times every day (2:00,3:00,4:00,5:00) It will take 3-10 minutes to receive the radio signal.

Information about the Synchronization of the Clock Signal Reception of the clock signal reception symbol Time and date are radio controlled. The current time is synchronized using the radio signal from Frankfurt, Germany (DCF77) DCF77 is a coded time signal and is transmitted on the normal frequency 77.5 khz. The transmission power is about 50kW, the transmitted power is about 30 kw at a distance of about 1500 km from Frankfurt/Main or Mainflingen. During the first start-up, the clock automatically searches for the radio signal and the reception symbol blinks. The symbol appears continuously, when the unit receives the radio time. A blinking reception signal shows that the unit receives a radio signal. Note: 1. The unit is automatically synchronized every day. 2. Do not place the unit in the vicinity of interfering sources, such as television, computer or similar devices. 3. Avoid placing the unit next to or on metal plates. 4. Closed rooms such as airports, cellars, factories and rooms where reinforced concrete is used in the walls are not recommended. 5. Do not start the reception in a moving vehicle such as a car or train. (6) LCD display Temperature in. Display range: -10 ~40 3. Notice

(1) If time reception is not successful, please try the below options: A. Replace the battery when the clock loses its ability to receive the radio signal B. Turning the table clock at a 90 angle and receive the signal again. C. Place the clock near to windows. D. Place the clock away from electrical appliances such as television, computers etc (1~2 m) E. Receive the RCC signal outdoor (2) If the RCC does not work after insert battery or hands keeps turning, please try to do as below: A. Check the battery lifetime and if necessary replace with a new battery B. Remove the battery and reinsert it after 60 seconds. REMARK: 1 It is normal that the second hand points to 12 while the second hand and minute hand work together. 2 If the clock is adjusted by hand when it receiving, it will stop receiving and continue to work according to adjustment. MOUNTING / POSITIONING OF RADIO CONTROLLED BATHROOM CLOCK Mounting using suction cups The suction cups of your radio controlled bathroom clock are used for attachment to smooth surfaces such as tiles (the tiles should be polished, the suction cups do not adhere to matt tiles), mirrors and glass surfaces etc. Moisten the suction cups before attaching them to improve the suction. Note: - The suction cups adhere only to smooth surfaces. - Since the suction cups, similar to all other suction cups, can detach after a while, press them occasionally firmly against the surface and check the adherence of the radio controlled bathroom clock. - Do not attach your radio controlled bathroom clock within the shower area, since the clock is protected only against moisture. Intensive contact with water could lead to malfunctions. - The surface where you want to mount your radio controlled bathroom clock must be free of dust and grease It is recommended to clean the surface with a cleansing agent first. - Mount your radio controlled bathroom clock in a place where nothing could be damaged if the clock detaches itself and falls down. Please note that glass breakage is not covered by the warranty. - Avoid to attach one of the suction cups directly over a tile joint, since no vacuum can develop and the

suction cup does not hold. Detaching of suction cups: When you want to detach the radio controlled bathroom clock from a surface, please lift the suction cups at the edge one by one. This enables air to enter underneath the suction cup and it will detach from the surface. Note: - Do not pull directly at the clock to detach it, to avoid damage to the unit or the surface. Mounting using the suspension eye If you can't or don't want to mount your radio controlled bathroom clock using the suction cups, a suspension eye is available on the rear side. Suspend the clock using a nail or screw at a suitable place on the wall. Positioning using the stand Twist open the casing cover, take out the white stand and close the casing cover again. Insert the stand into the intended opening beneath the casing cover. CHANGING THE BATTERIES: Signs of weak batteries: - Hands stop - Hands turn very quickly - Temperature display is dim or fades totally Open the battery compartment by twisting the casing cover of the radio controlled bathroom clock as described in section. Close the battery compartment again. Replace the batteries only with same brand. SPECIFICATIONS: Temperature range: -10 C to +40 C Temperature resolution: 1 C
