Program Note Salmo de labanza is a setting of Psalm 117 and was commissioned by the San ntonio Chamber Choir and Director Scott MacPherson for the re-opening of the famous and historic Mission Concepcion (just outside of San ntonio), marking and celebrating the Mission s extensive and successful restoration. Set in Spanish, the work is based upon a fast-paced, extremely rhythmic setting of the text, culminating in the overlapping, joyous leluya! that concludes the work. (. Rindfleisch)
