HUGO NICOLAU http://web.ist.utl.pt/hugo.nicolau/ h.nicolau@gmail.com BIOGRAPHY Hugo Nicolau is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. His research interests include humancomputer interaction, accessibility, wearables, and mobile interfaces, focusing on the design, development, and evaluation of novel interaction techniques for people with disabilities, either induced by context or health factors. Hugo s goals comprise creating useful and usable technologies that improve people s access to information, products, and services by leveraging individual abilities within context. His work has been published in over 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications in many top venues, including ACM CHI, MobileHCI, ASSETS, INTERACT, UIST, UAIS, and IEEE Multimedia, from which he received three best paper awards (CHI 14, ASSETS 11, INTERACT 11). He has previously served as conference chair, organizing member, and program committee member on several international conferences and workshops in his field. He currently serves as newsletter editor for the Special Interest Group on Accessible Computing. He received his PhD in Information Systems and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon in 2013.
