Working at Heights - General Courses Height Safety 1 Awareness FP01-1/2 Day Designed to provide a theoretical understanding of how to use fall arrest techniques and equipment for simple work at height activities. Height Safety 2 Worker FP02-1 Day Designed to provide an understanding of theoretical and practical skills required in order to use a range of fall arrest work position and restraint equipment. Height Safety 3 Supervisor FP03-1 Day Designed to provide an understanding of site supervisor s responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and its supporting Regulations. Height Safety 4 Rescue FP04-1 Day Designed to provide an understanding on workmate rescue and escape training from a range of scenarios. Training focuses on lowering and hauling techniques but do not cover abseil rescues. Height Safety 5 PPE Inspector FP05-1/2 Day Designed to provide an understanding of the knowledge required as a competent inspector of Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE). Height Safety 6 Escape FP06-1/2 Day Designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to evacuate from high structures, such as over head cranes and mobile platforms during emergencies. Height Safety 8 Trainer Demonstrator Course FP08-2 Days Training focuses on teaching students to arrange in house practice sessions for company employees, the importance of documentation and good record keeping, organisation and group control, how to identify the various risk and hazards involved with this type of activity, how to identify and target essential training needs.
Wind Turbine Industry Hub Rescue WE02-1 Day Designed to provide an understanding of the specific issues surrounding work in and around the hub of a wind turbine, including extraction of a casualty using a load transfer system and associated rescue equipment. Met Mast Climber WE05-1 Day Designed to provide essential practice and theoretical information required to work on and access Met Masts. RenewableUK WTG Work at Height WE03-2 Days Aimed at persons who are required to access wind turbine generators (WTG) within the UK. A key focus of the course is dealing with emergency rescue and escape from the WTG.
Oil & Gas Fall Protection Competent Inspector OG01-1/2 Day This is a comprehensive inspection course which after completion will allow those responsible for the inspection of Fall protection equipment to make educated decisions on the suitability for use. Fall Protection Competent Person OG02-2 1/2 Days This course is for individuals that are responsible for the supervision, implementation and monitoring of a managed fall protection program. Fall Protection Competent Person Trainer OG03-5 Days The Competent Trainer programme focuses on practical teaching and techniques in order to provide a trainer the ability to instruct a 4-hour fall protection awareness course. Fall Protection Competent Person Refresher OG04-1 Day The Competent Person Refresher will demonstrate skill sets as a Competent Person and be made knowledgeable in the new regulation standards and equipment as a competent person. Courses listed under; Working at Height (FP04 and FP06) and Confined Spaces (CS01, CS02 and CS05) will also be relevant to the Oil and Gas industry
Telecommunications Industry Rooftop Safety Awareness TC01-1/2 Day Designed to provide an understanding of the basic hazards and risks faced when required to access rooftop sites. Roof Worker TC02-1 Day Designed to provide both the theoretical and practical skills required in order to use a range of fall arrest and restraint equipment. Basic Tower Climber TC03-1 Day Introduces climbers to work on communications masts and towers including using personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) to climb fixed ladders and work on the inside and outside of safe work platforms. Advanced Tower Climber TC04-1 Day Designed to provide an understanding for those accessing all areas on communications masts and towers. Also persons using a range of permanent fall arrest systems, climbing on open steel work and temporary fall arrest systems. Fixed Ladder Access & Rescue Training TC08-1 Day The training covers both theoretical and practical knowledge required to safety climb permanently fixed ladders and encompasses legislation and best practice techniques that governs this type of operation.
Telecommunications Industry Basic Lifting and Rigging Skills TC05-2 Days Designed to provide the knowledge and understanding of the skills required when carrying out small lifting operations (maximum 500 Kg) on a range of structures using small winches & pulleys. RF Safety Awareness TC06-1/2 Day Designed to provide an understanding of the known hazards associated with working in proximity to radio frequency fields commonly found on rooftops and communications towers. Tower Rescue TC07-1 Day Designed to provide an understanding of the skills required to carry out the rescue of an injured workmate stranded on a mast or tower. Antenna Rigger Basic CL04-2 Days This 5 day course teaches all the essential knowledge and practical skills required for those persons who have just entered the rigging industry. On completion of the course students will be able to operate as an effective member of a rigging team. The successful candidate will be able to safely access towers and rooftop sites and carryout small lifting operations.
Rope Access and Technical Rescue Capital Safety Level 1 Rope Access Technician RT01-3 Days Designed for persons who are required to use abseil techniques in order to gain access to and work in difficult locations. The course complies with BS 7985: 2002 Code of Practice for the use of Rope Access Techniques and ISO 22846-1 2003 Personal Equipment for Protection Against Falls: Rope Access Systems. Capital Safety Level 2 Rope Access Supervisor RT02-3 Days Designed for persons who are required to supervise employees using industrial rope access techniques to gain access to difficult and awkward locations. The course aims to equip students with the ability to supervise the operation of Capital Safety L1 Rope Access Technicians. IRATA 1 Rope Access IR01-5 Days The IRATA Level 1 rope access course is the entry level to the IRATA framework, aimed at delegates with little or no previous experience. The course teaches a delegate to apply simple industrial rope access methods under direct supervision of an IRATA level 3 technician. IRATA 2 Rope Access IR02-5 Days IRATA level 2 technicians operate at a higher level of skill than level 1, and consequently delegates will be trained in advanced rescue and rope access techniques. Technical Rescue Technical Rescue Operative TR01-5 Days Designed for those persons working in specialist rescue teams, this 5 day course concentrates on all aspects of rescue and evacuation from height, including snatch, strop and stretcher rescues, basic and advanced hauling techniques, and the use of cableways and Tyroleans. Technical Rescue Team Leader TR02-5 Days Designed for the persons working in specialist rescue teams, it concentrates on rigging and planning of rope rescues, with a leader controlling a small group of operatives. Technical Rescue Emergency Services Wind Turbine Generator TR04-1 Day This course is aimed at those personnel experienced in using personal fall protection and rescue equipment, such as rope team operators/ supervisors, who may be required access to wind turbine (WTG) during an emergency situation. On completion of training those attending will be able to climb a fixed ladder, access the nacelle (including the roof area), Hub areas and understand the hazards and risks inherent in this type of activity. IRATA 3 Rope Access IR03-5 Days IRATA level 3 technicians provide supervision and rescue cover for level 1 and 2 technicians, and delegates will be trained in advanced rescue and rope access techniques.
Confined Spaces Confined Space Safe Access CS01-1 Day Designed to allow safe access and egress for low to medium confined spaces, covering emergency breathing apparatus, harnesses, winches and tripods. Confined Space Full Working Breathing Apparatus CS02-1 Day Acts as a follow-on module specifically dealing with the use of respiratory protective equipment for work access high risk to confined spaces (positive pressure breathing apparatus, both selfcontained and hose-fed). Confined Space Rescue CS05-3 Days Designed to specifically concentrate on the advanced rescue skills required to provide on-site cover for those working in confined spaces. It covers searching, operations in zero visibility, and immediate-response risk assessment (IRRA). Confined Space Multi-Stage CS03-1/2 Day Multi-stage confined spaces are those with more than one vertical ladder or shaft required during entry, but limited horizontal features. Access is by repeated sets of harness/winch/tripod climbing and lowering systems. The basic methods of vertical access are the same, but management and rescue is more complex.
Consultancy and Managed Services Additional Courses Eyebolt Installation Class A1 Anchor Devices EIC01-1 Day This course provides both the theoretical and practical training to enable personnel to install fall arrest and rope access anchor devices, in accordance with BS7883 which complies to EN795 Class A1. First Aid Courses - 1 Day A number of options are available including the HSE approved First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work courses. Mobile Towers Pasma and Non Pasma - 1 Day Accredited and non-accredited courses are available covering the assembly, safe use, dismantling and maintenance aspects involved when using portable aluminium scaffold towers. IOSH Working Safely - 1 Day This course has been designed to allow workers to contribute positively to health & safety in the work place, so that they clearly understand their individual responsibilities. Managing Safety - 1 Day Managing Safety is for managers and supervisors form any industry or organisation. It is designed to improve their awareness of good safety management. PLA01 Portable Ladder Access Course - 1/2 Day The aim of this one-day course is to provide individuals with the necessary skills to erect extension ladders and position roof ladders. The course will provide delegates with the practical skills required to protect themselves when working at height either from a ladder or when traversing to a safe place of work. PLI02 Portable Ladder Course - 1/2 Day This course covers the use of portable and step ladders ensuring that ladders are correctly selected, maintained, inspected and used within the working environment.
