JULIET POTTER Director of Research # of yrs with JLL Less than one year # of children and ages 2 ages 7 and 12 If children school age, what schools attend public or private? Area of Atlanta you live What brought you to Atlanta Graduate of Why you like to live/work in Atlanta Suwanee Elementary School and North Gwinnett Middle School Suwanee, northeast of Atlanta I moved to metro Atlanta 4 years ago through a corporate relocation of NCR with my husband. We chose to move our family because of the opportunities I knew I would have for myself professionally, because of the neighborhoods and schools, and what the Metro has to offer culturally. When I made the decision to move here I knew it would be the ultimate investment I could make one based on a future. Graduate degree from Wright State University I love Atlanta because it has an unmatched sense of hospitality, possibility, and energy. People move here because they want to be here and I feel the same. I am so passionate about Atlanta that I worked to find a work environment where I could be an economist, a researcher, and most importantly, an advocate for the area. LINDY CURTIS Geospatial Mapping Specialist # of yrs with JLL 2 # of children and ages none Area of Atlanta you live Druid Hills What brought you to Atlanta I fell in love with Atlanta on my first visit to the city nearly two years ago. It was a complete departure from the lifestyle I was living in Chicago, Atlanta felt like a big small town and has an overwhelming sense of community. Luckily enough, I was accepted a position here and was transferred here last year. The culture here is very welcoming and it felt like home on my first day. Graduate of Iowa State University Why you like to live/work in Atlanta As someone who loves the outdoors, Atlanta has a lot to offer even within the city limits. The parks are beautiful and there are a lot of areas to hike around even within the metro area. Atlanta is also very affordable. Compared to other cities I had considered, Atlanta offered more for your money in terms of housing costs. I was able to trade in a shoe-box condo in the city of Chicago for an adorable house in one of the best (and safest neighborhoods) in Atlanta. Also, because of the beautiful weather we have nearly year round, Atlanta is full of outdoor events and activities. Between the music festivals, neighborhood festivals and sporting events there is always something to see and do. 5
