Fundraising Why We Ask Each Relayer to Raise at least 200 Cancer Council asks that every Relay For Life participant aims to raise at least 200. The reason we do this is that for every 200 you raise, we are able to provide a night s accommodation for cancer patients and their families and around three return trips to and from hospital for treatment, and we can assist patients in paying overdue bills. Your 200 can go a long way and mean a great deal to someone on their cancer journey helping families stay together and making treatments more accessible. When your 200 is combined with the money Relayers across the country raise, you are helping to: Fund over 450 research projects cures for cancer. Deliver prevention campaigns like SunSmart, which has prevented over 100,000 skins cancers. Support national early detection screening programs to double survival rates for some cancers. For those already on the cancer journey, your 200 has funded: Over 150,000 nights of accommodation for patients, friends, families and carers. Covered the costs of providing information to 100,000 Australians who called Cancer Council 13 11 20. Helped connect 1000 newly-diagnosed patients with a volunteer cancer survivor, to guide them through their diagnosis and treatment. Without YOU these programs would not be possible. Around 70% of all Australian adults will be touched by cancer that s 12 million people! As a charity, we rely on the goodwill of our donors, fundraisers and dedicated supporters to help us continue our lifesaving work. Relay logo guide When you sign up to a Relay For Life you are becoming a part of Cancer Council and our brand. If you would like to show your support by using the Relay For Life logo on your team materials, here is a quick guide on the correct placement. Logo variations 1. Horizontal stack The horizontal version of the Hope Lives Here Relay For Life lockup is the preferred version for all use. 2. Vertical stack The vertical version of the Hope Lives Here Relay For Life lockup is only for use where space is restricted and to assist in keeping the logo at a readable size in small space applications. 3. Reversed logo The reversed version of the Hope Lives Here Relay For Life lockup is to be used on dark backgrounds to avoid compromising the legibility of the standard logo. 1. Horizontal 3. Reversed 2. Vertical Clear space and minimum size The required clear space can be calculated at any given size by doubling the height of the H in Hope Lives Here, and applying that measurement to the space surrounding the logo as in the diagram on this page. 1 Clear space 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 To avoid any reproduction issues across print and digital applications, and to ensure legibility, all logos should not be used below the minimum sizes of 31mm or 250px.
