The TI 30X IIS or TI 30XS is suggested. o Sharing calculators is not allowed. Sharing a calculator during a quiz or test will be considered cheating and handled as such. o Cell phone calculators may NOT be used on any test or quiz. Grading Grading Scale Breakdown Each Semester A 90 100% Class work 10% Quarter Grade 40% B 80 89% Homework 20% Quarter Grade 40% C 70 79% Quizzes/Tests 70% Final Exam Grade 20% D 60 69% F Less than 60% Class work: This will consist of 10% of your quarter grade. Note checks : Notes must be for credit.you will be required to keep all notes from the class in an organized way, through the use of a binder, notebook, or folder. It is up to you to keep these materials organized. This syllabus will be part of all note checks. Warm ups : will be a daily routine. Every two weeks the warm up material will be turned in for a grade. Homework: This will consist of 20% of your quarter grade. Homework will be checked and turned in at the beginning of each class. Points will only be awarded if all homework is ATTEMPTED and necessary work is SHOWN! No homework will be accepted after each unit test has been given. 5 points 4 points 3 points 2 points 1 point 0 points All work shown All complete ¼ of work or ½ of work or ¾ of work or Missing nearly all of work or Turned it in after the Unit test 2

Quizzes and Tests: Quizzes and Tests will consist of 70% of your quarter grade. The day of the assessment will always be announced. Students will be allowed to retake an assessment if they are NOT missing any assignments for that chapter. A normal mathematical quiz will be given about halfway through each chapter. A vocabulary quiz will be given near the end of the chapter to assess your knowledge of new terminology in the course. Tests will be at the end of the chapter and will cover material from that chapter, but may have some material from previous chapters. Cheating If there is any evidence of cheating, you will receive a zero for that work. Your parents and administrator will be notified concerning your conduct.
