N2-Blast - Corrosion Inhibiting System Introducing the N2-Blast - Corrosion Inhibiting System for Dry & Pre-action Fire Protection Systems. Designed & Manufactured by South-Tek Systems, the leader in Nitrogen Generation Technology. How it works The N2-Blast produces 98%+ pure Nitrogen and introduces it to the Dry or Pre-action Fire Protection System. In doing so, Oxygen is displaced from the piping through the AutoPurge System. The N2-Blast effectively inhibits Electrochemical, Galvanic and Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC), as well as moisture accumulation, freeze-ups and ice plugs. N2-BLAST Recipient of the NACE Corrosion Innovation of the Year Award NITROGEN Inhibits corrosion with 98%+ pure Nitrogen Inert, clean, dry, non-flammable gas Limits the liability of early pipe replacement Absorbs more moisture than compressed air Protects installation & increases customer loyalty Has a true -40 to -70 F dew point Easily integrates into new or pre-existing FPS Does not support the corrosion reaction Simple and inexpensive to maintain Prevents the formation of ice blockages UL 508A system approval Prevents oxidation of non-metallic components Best value in Nitrogen Generation Technology Targets both Aerobic and Anaerobic Bacteria BlastOff - Leak Detection System Provided exclusively with the N2-Blast o o 18 Month Exposure Results Compressed Air Nitrogen Detects a major leak before it compromises the FPS Alarms if the air compressor is not working properly Includes a dry contact for signal out to BMS Protects the lifespan of the N2-Blast Maximizes energy efficiency South-Tek Systems, the Leading Designer and Manufacturer of Nitrogen Generation Technology phone: 888.526.6284 www.southteksystems.com We ARE Nitrogen.

Guide Specifications South-Tek Systems Corrosion Inhibiting Nitrogen Generation System Furnish and install a South-Tek Systems Corrosion Inhibiting Nitrogen Generation System capable of producing 98%+ pure Nitrogen in order to service all Dry and/or Preaction FPS, or as directed by the Design Engineer. Each Corrosion Inhibiting Nitrogen Generation System shall include a N 2 -Blast FPS Nitrogen Generator, Feed Air Compressor, Refrigerated Air Dryer, Pre-treatment Air Filtration Package, Leak Detection System, Air Bypass Alarm, Fire Protection System Purging Device(s), Supervisory Gas Monitoring Device(s) and Nitrogen Storage Tank; or the equivalent of. Air Bypass Feed air IN Typical System Installation N 2 phone: 888.526.6284 www.southteksystems.com Copyrighted All Rights Reserved - 2015

N 2 -Blast - AutoPurge System THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO ACHIEVE 98%+ NITROGEN PURITY THROUGHOUT THE FPS. South-Tek designed the tunable AutoPurge System to adjust to the exact capacity of each individual Fire Protection System (FPS). This ensures that compressed air is displaced by 98% or greater Nitrogen purity within 2 weeks. In comparison to competing orifice designs, South-Tek s Patent Pending AutoPurge System allows a smaller FPS to purge at a lesser rate than a larger FPS, and vice versa. This maximizes corrosion protection and minimizes equipment runtime - ultimately extending the lives of both the sprinkler piping and Nitrogen generator. South-Tek s Nitrogen generation system was designed with efficiency in mind and even with the AutoPurge System continually purging, the Nitrogen generator only runs a few additional minutes per day. Patent Pending AutoPurge System Tunable, based on capacity of FPS Cycles Nitrogen continuously throughout FPS piping to maximize corrosion protection and help dry out residual moisture Mounts horizontally on vertical section of FPS piping Complete with NPT connection, auto high pressure water shut-off and adjustable AutoPurge System orifice Purge rate less than 1.5 PSI in 24 hours (NFPA Compliant) Fully pneumatic, no electric required Ensures 98%+ purity blanketed throughout FPS within (2) weeks

Quick-Check - PowerSaver Manifold ENSURES 98%+ NITROGEN PURITY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE FPS - EVERY DAY. The Quick-Check - PowerSaver Manifold option brings all of South-Tek s Patent Pending features together into one central location. Each AutoPurge System can be connected to the PowerSaver Manifold with 1/4 plenumrated tubing (provided by South-Tek). The PowerSaver Manifold monitors Nitrogen purity within each Zone during a sampling phase, once per day. At the end of the sampling phase, the PowerSaver Manifold stores the achieved Nitrogen purity into memory and displays the results on its screen. If the Zone s purity meets specification, the AutoPurge System will remain closed (not purging) until the next sampling phase. If purity does not meet specification, the AutoPurge System will remain in the open position and continue its purge until the next sampling phase (Nitrogen Generator provides the Zone with more Nitrogen until purity specification is met). Proactive Features & Benefits Samples Nitrogen purity content in all Zones Available in 6, 10 and 20-port models (custom models available upon request) Deactivates AutoPurge System as Nitrogen purity set point is acheived Maintenance mode monitors purity content every (24) hours in each Zone Includes a maintenance log app for capturing routine maintenance dates & notes Wall mountable and complete with PLC and modules Analog 0-10V, 4-20mA signal out to BMS when purity is acheived Electrical: 1Ph, 8 AMP Equipped with 2gb micro SD card for data extraction Optional Ethernet communication module for remote access

BlastOff - Leak Detection System MAXIMIZE THE LIFE OF YOUR NITROGEN GENERATION SYSTEM...! South-Tek developed the Patent Pending BlastOff - Leak Detection System to proactively ensure the longevity of not only the Fire Protection System, but the Nitrogen Generation System itself. The BlastOff - Leak Detection System acts as an onboard diagnostic to maximize the life of the system. If there is a significant leak downstream or an equipment malfunction, the Leak Detection System will alarm so that the problem can be diagnosed before the Nitrogen generator or air compressor burn out. Proactive Features & Benefits Provided exclusively within every N 2 -Blast - Nitrogen Generation System Alarms when the N 2 -Blast senses a significant leak in the FPS piping, which causes the air compressor and N 2 -Blast to run excessively Alarms if the air compressor or N 2 -Blast are not working properly Built within the N 2 -Blast cabinet and includes dry contact for signal out to BMS Ensures energy efficiency Setting Higher Standards Unless the leak rate is catastrophic, the supervisory low pressure alarm on the Fire Protection System will not activate. Minor leaks cause the air compressor and N 2 -Blast to run excessively in order to maintain supervisory pressure. The unnecessary additional run-time decreases the lifespan of the equipment. The Patent Pending BlastOff - Leak Detection System is designed to detect significant leaks before they compromise the Fire Protection System and the Nitrogen Generation System. It has an internal audible alarm and dry contact for wiring into the Building Monitoring System and will also alarm if the air compressor or the N 2 -Blast are not working properly.

BlastOff - Air Bypass Alarm ENSURE 98% NITROGEN IS ALWAYS YOUR SUPERVISORY GAS...! Studies show that 98% pure Nitrogen can reduce sprinkler pipe corrosion by up to 93%. Although a Nitrogen generator ensures a continuous supply of Nitrogen, it does not guarantee Nitrogen is always entering the sprinkler piping. The N 2 -Blast is the one and only Nitrogen generator being offered with the Air Bypass Alarm which safeguards against the Nitrogen supply being interrupted, bypassed or inadvertently powered off. South-Tek Systems continues to take Nitrogen generation technology to the next level with the introduction of the Patent Pending BlastOff - Air Bypass Alarm. Setting Higher Standards The BlastOff - Air Bypass Alarm is intended to protect your installation long after you ve commissioned the N 2 -Blast system. Imagine providing a packaged corrosion solution to your customer only to discover that the system was inadvertently bypassed or offline for a few months or even years...? The Air Bypass Alarm provides a visual indication if the N 2 -Blast - Nitrogen generator is being bypassed by the air compressor - safeguarding against mishaps in the field and effectively inhibiting corrosion by ensuring 98%+ Nitrogen is continually supervising the Fire Protection System. Proactive Features & Benefits Alarms if N 2 -Blast is bypassed by the air compressor or inadvertently powered off Safeguards against installation error or a maintenance technician inadvertently leaving the nitrogen generator offline Ensures Nitrogen is continually flowing to the Air Maintenance Device/s Provides visual indication if the N 2 -Blast is being bypassed with compressed air Includes a dry contact to wire into the Building Monitoring System Built internal to the N 2 -Blast cabinet
