Tybalt kills Mercutio and Romeo kills Tybalt. Prince Escalus is very angry and sends Romeo away from Verona. Lord and Lady Capulet decide that Juliet must marry Count Paris. Juliet goes to see Friar Laurence to ask for his help. Friar Laurence gives Juliet a sleeping potion. Juliet goes home. She falls into a deep sleep. Everyone thinks Juliet is dead. Friar John goes to see Romeo in Mantua. Romeo thinks that Juliet is dead so he buys some poison from the apothecary and returns to Verona.
