Power Units Weatherford s electric power units are equipped with 30 hp (22 kw) to more than 0 hp (373 kw) motors (explosion proof available), starter/circuit breakers and start/stop controls. Standard features include a hydraulic reservoir, suction and return filters; heavy-duty pumps; hydraulic coolers; pressure-control valves; and pressure gauges. We also offer low temperature 5 EW power units that can handle temperatures down to 40 F ( 40 C). Also we have units for both open- and closed-center operation. Many of our power units are explosion proof for zone 1 and are ATEX certified. (ATEX product certification or EC Type Examination involves a detailed examination, testing and assessment of equipment and confirms that the product is safe to use within certain parameters within potentially explosive atmospheres. 1 ) 1 Source: siracertification.com/atex Model ID-HPU-200-135-00 (offshore application, rig floor equipment) 4 2004 2009 Weatherford. This plumbing system differentiates our units from those of other designers/manufacturers. NPT or JIC fittings are not used because they will eventually leak. Also when applicable, we hard line the plumbing instead of using hoses. 4 Active power units for sale at Weatherford OCM. 2004 2009 Weatherford. All rights reserved. 5
Diesel Engine HPU Features Weatherford s standard diesel power units are equipped with four- or six-cylinder Deutz engines. All are constructed with large hydraulic-oil reservoirs which effectively helps with heat dissipation. All models are equipped with automatic and manual engine shutoffs, and an emergency shutdown system. An optional air-intake engine shutoff for additional safety is available. The exhaust system has a built-in spark arrestor. Air- or water-cooled engines with air, electric or spring starters are standard. All units are installed on an oilfield skid with pickup provisions, power-tong mountings and storage baskets. Weatherford offers low-noise units to meet the stringent environmental regulations; stainless steel units for use in corrosive environments; and models designed for low-temperature operations. Zone II units are also available. Model 6 2004 2009 Weatherford. All rights reserved.
