Getting Started (Cont.) Charging the Battery This DJ System is equipped with a built-in 12V 4.5Ah rechargeable battery. Before the first three times that you are going to use the system, this battery should be charged for a minimum of 12 hours. To charge, proceed as follows: Set the AC POWER SWITCH to ON. Set the POWER SOURCE to BATTERY CHARGE. The built-in battery will now be charged from the mains power supply. A full charge takes about 12-14 hours at this stage. When the battery is fully charged, set the AC POWER SWITCH to OFF and disconnect the power supply. Important Notes Concerning the Battery When the battery is low or has run out, it is important to extend the recharging time to 24 hours. Recharging it for a shorter time may reduce the battery life, damage the battery and cause the battery to never be fully charged, which will result in a shorter time of operation. Do not open the cover to the battery housing. Only professional technicians should open this system if the battery needs to be replaced. In such a case, contact our after sales support centre for advice. Only a battery with the same specifications may be used to power this equipment. An unsuitable battery may damage the system or cause malfunction. Do not use this battery in other equipment. If you are not going to use this system for a long period of time, please recharge the battery at least once every 3 months to avoid letting your battery sit dormant for a long period of time and risk battery failure.
