Enrio was established in 2007 - started as an initiative of the director of UKRIO - grew with people also coming from other organisations like academies and research funding organisations 2008 Split (22/09) 2009 Amsterdam (11/03) Oslo (14/10) 2010 Bern ( 16/06) 2011 Copenhagen ( 02/02) Vienna (27/09) 2012 (18 members) Roma (17/04) Helsinki (11/09) 2013 Roma (next spring) 3th WCRI ( May 2013)
Membership it consist of participants of 18 countries Definition: Membership of Enrio is open to representatives of national bodies and organisations within Europe with interests in and responsibility for matters of research integrity. Members can be representatives of: Organisations and/or bodies with responsibilities for the investigation and/or oversight of allegations of misconduct in research, Organisations and agencies providing funding for research Academies and other learned societies with a special interest in promoting research integrity.

Enrio s aims are: To facilitate discussions and share experience and possible solutions related to the investigation of allegations of misconduct in (academic) research and related to the training and education with regard to good practices for research; To report discussions and develop proposals, for submission to national and international organisations on matters of investigation on matters of investigations and training; To liaise and work in partnership with other organisations with European or global interests in research integrity.
Enrio strength: learning from each other A) Exchange of information and comparison of situation: countries with little experience in the field of investigation of allegations of misconducting, in the field of training and education about RI countries with more experience well developed system (local and national level) B) Improve and support the members by institutionalising RI at the own national level
Enrio is the unique European functioning network on research integrity Europe still needs common standards and common rules in research integrity Enrio is a good team player ready to provide a unique experience and know how on research integrity
