COMPANY PROFILE SQB Sdn Bhd was established on 17 December 1999 under the Company Act 1965. The management office of our company is situated in A-63, First Floor, Jalan IM3/11, Bandar Indera Mahkota, 25200 Kuantan Pahang Darul Makmur. The main activity of our company is the producer and supplier of Agarwood Oil. Our company owns 54.6 hectar of Agarwood plantation in year 2011 and will further develop 43.7 hectar by year 2013. www.sqbsb.com 1
AGARWOOD Agarwood the resinous wood from the Aquilaria tree. Agarwood is classified to be in Family Thymelaeaceae, and its scientific name is Aquilaria spp. There are total 15 species distributed Northeast of India, Myanmar, China, Malaysia, and covered Southeast Asian up to the Phillipines. Moreover, it is found in some parts of Bengal, and Assam of Pakistan. The trees frequently become infected with a parasite fungus or mold, phialophora parasitice, and begin to produce an aromatic resin in response to this attack. The resin of a tree from a natural attack and immune response is commonly known as agar. The fungus and decomposition process continue to generate a very rich and dark resin forming within the heartwood. APPLICATION Agarwood has three principal uses, such as in medicine, perfume and incense. Smaller quantities are used for other purposes, such as carvings. MEDICINE PERFUME INCENSE Agarwood has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years, and continues to be used in Ayurvedic, Tibetan and traditional East Asian medicine, The Sahib Muslim, which dates back to approximately the eighth century. Agarwood is prescribed in traditional East Asian medicine to promote the flow of qi, relieve pain, arrest vomiting by warming the stomach, and to relieve asthma. 2 The use of agarwood for perfumery extends back several thousands of years, agarwood smoke and oil are customarily used as perfume in the Middle East. In India, various grades of agarwood are distilled separately before blending to product final attar. Minyak attar is a waterbased perfume containing agarwood oil, which is tranditionally used by Muslim to lace prayer clothes. Agarwood incense is burned to produce a pleasant aroma, its use ranging from a general perfume to an element of important religious occasions. Irregular chunks of agarwood, burned. agarwood powder can be used to make incense sticks or coils for indoor fragrance, and used for religious purpose.

AGARWOOD OIL AGARWOOD OIL The scent of our agarwood is woody, earthy, spicy, heavenly and surrounds a warm aura of bittersweet. Currently, we have two species Aquilaria malaccensis and Aquilaria subintegra. Both give a very rare and unique aromatic. Agarwood oil can apply directly to skin, only a tiny amount of the oil, it can last for 10-12 hours or even more, it depends on your skin. It s widely use as based note of fine and luxury perfumers, a signature of oriental and woody compositions, mysterious and ancient heritage scent. 4

AGARWOOD S PROTECTION AGARWOOD S PROTECTION The manufacturing of Aquilaria spp requires close supervision and monitoring in order to ensure the continuous quality and quantity of the agarwood supply. Since 16 Ferbuary 1995, Aquilaria Malaccensis has been listed in Appendix 11 ( potentially threatened species) by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). The authority is responsible in the management of import and export permit and CITES certificate for Peninsular Malaysia in order to ensen reservation of tree for future generations. 8
